You honestly think Towles decision making (post snap) and his pocket presence is enough to take UK to the next level? I like the kid but these are two areas that he is AWFUL in.

I do not know if Barker is the answer (I expect he is not) but I do not believe Towles is. The difference is I have seen what Towles is capable of I have not seen what Barker is capable of. The sample size is to small. Why not try something else? News flash this way is not working.

On a side note you are correct our O line is awful and our receivers are not doing any favors but the two areas I mentioned are on Towles and no one else, well maybe Dawson to an extent. He puts Pat in bad spots.

I completely agree with you. It's just that people think that a QB change will solve all the problems we have when in reality it is one of the smallest.

Towles was 10-26 for 67 yds with 1 Int.

Barker was 5-8 for 60 yds with 1 TD & 1 Int.

UK rushed for 225 yds.

Starting to feel like end of Curci era in some ways.

Only problem with that is we've never got the good of the Curci era from Stoops.

Proud of Drew. First drive of the season in a meaningful game against a top 30 or 40 defense and he leads them to a TD with a great TD pass.

He then gets picked. Rookie mistake. When you have about 20 college snaps under your belt that's going to happen.

He made things happen...I thought that he should have stayed in the game, he gave UK a better chance to win.

Ditto

What situation? Nobody can win there. Just like IU football always sucks, just like Kansas, just like UNC. He's just now realizing his quest was futile.

Really? Are you sure you want to go there?

2015 IU schedule:

Won their 1st game 48-47 (w)

IU 36 FIU 22 (W)

IU 38 WKY 35 (w)

IU 31 WF 24 (w)

IU 27 OHIO ST.34 (L)

IU 7 PENN ST.29 (L)

IU 52 RUTGERS 55 (L)

IU 26 MICH. ST. 55 (L)

IU 27 IOWA 35 (L)

IU 41 MICHIGAN 48 (L) (2 OT)

Double OT loss to Michigan

Lost by 7 to Ohio St.

Lost by 7 to Iowa

I bleed blue but IU would smear KY this year.

You forgot the stats on the dropped passes. Three dropped passes that hit both hands of the receivers on the first drive, one would have been a TD. Add the dropped passes to Towles totals plus the additional yardage.

The WR are weak, Baker had brick hands, Timmons is garbage and the rest of em are Div2 at best. Nobody in the WR corp can make plays.

Random thought I just had...how good is Florida?

Kentucky should've beat Florida if it weren't for a dropped pass in the end zone in the 1st quarter. Vandy gave Florida all it wanted and then some in the Swamp and Kentucky should've beat Vandy but we gave them the win anyway we could. South Carolina hung with Florida pretty good today and we know the season SC has had. Is the SEC east really that bad this year?

Won by 7 against an awful Wake Forest team. Won by 1 point against a 3-7 FCS team. Beat a bad FIU team. They have a good win against WKU and beat 3 bad teams. They're almost exactly UK.

I'm still trying to get over the shock of someone defending Hoosier football. Even my IU donor uncle living in the rough-and-tumble Bloomington suburbs won't do that.
