How many checks do you write?

Funny you say that. For the first time in forever, I saw someone writing a check at Kroger. It had already taken entirely too long to get to the register, and then the lady in front of me pulls out her check book. Under my breath (or so I thought) I said "You gotta be kidding me..." Her and the cashier both looked at me. :lol2:

Let me guess. She had to ask for a pen because she didn't have one even though she planned on writing a check from the time she left the house.

That's the only one I still regularly do and I could do it online if I wanted. I just feel weird passing the basket on Sunday and not putting something in, even if I already contributed.

I sat on parish council and this discussion came up. Some liked the example of putting an envelop in. Some felt awkward not doing it. One person said do it on line and throw in an empty envelop. That said, we drop one in about every 4-6 weeks. Depending on the timing of when Mrs TAC does the bills. She makes sure we hit our yearly commitment

A few a month. Write one for the offering on Sundays, but we now have on-line giving we just started so may try that soon. Pay the kid who cut my grass this summer with a check, but I will be cutting it again next year now that I can. Pay water and internet bills with checks. The odd check here and there for different things. Maybe 5-8 a month.
