Trying to tell the few people that "right there", the juvenile name calling and all, as well as not recognizing that people have the right to carry, even open, is going to stall any adult attempt to figure this out, and that THEY are a main part of the problem for things not getting started.

Agreed. On one hand they say that people who carry are cowards. But on the other hand they talk about how dangerous it is and how something need to be done. So which is it for them? Too dangerous or not?

Since you in good spirit suggested I train to use my firearm, I will in good spirit suggest you review figures of some of the dangers associated with them. You are as sheep as they come. I would offer you to come up to Cincy and train with the so called police "that I insult" but train with, however, you have no business touching a weapon, stick to your TPS and pray that the police come to save you, rather than to investigate what happened to you.

If we're casting aspersions based on a few message board posts, I'm going to go ahead and assume your training has really come in handy protecting you in your subdivision.

The problem is when you gun grabbers want to come take our weapons away and I can no longer protect my "neighborhood." Morever, they ban certain types of weapons, have checks for sales, and a test to pass if you want to carry one.

Certain Types of weapons are banned in the US now. Sawed off Shotguns, Full Auto weapons and Short Barrel Rifles (except with strict oversight and licensing) are among some of the guns banned now in the US.

I don't think a legally owned full auto gun has been used in any mass shooting ever in the US

 

Background sales are completed for all sales from dealers. (There is no current mechanism for background checks on private sales currently and I have no problem with fixing that) But do you think black market gun sales in Switzerland complete background checks?

The problem is your inability to engage in a rational discussion. If you read my post, you would see that I said nothing even remotely close to grabbing guns.

 

My only point is that when I look at all the guys I know in real life, I would estimate that most of them own multiple guns. That's fine, the vast majority of them are extremely responsible and many are some of my best friends. The people that give me pause are the ones that seem almost giddy when talking about how they won't be messed with. I'm sorry that being put off by the tough guy persona makes me a sheep.
