I too wish people would pay more attention to these tragic events, I have been trying to get people to post in the Syrian Crisis thread, the biggest humanitarian crisis since WWII isn't what the public wants to talk about.

 

Possibly since its in the news so much people become immune to an officer getting killed? I'm sure most care. As with officer Kim in Cincinnati, all 4 TV stations covered his wake, funeral, and procession live on TV, and tens of thousands of people line the route to the cemetery. I pray that the people in that part of the state does the same for him.

I've seen statements from our Governor, Attorney General and from the Republican Nominee Matt Bevin. Good to see them recognize him for his service.

Not just zeroing in on you here, but when board regulars with regularity tell posters they're "out of line" or "start a new thread," that's a form of censorship.

Just read where after the initial stop no one in car had driver license and the cop was making arrangements for them all to stay at hotel for the night so he didn't have to take the driver to jail

I read that he is from Flourissant, Missouri which they say is close to Ferguson. Some websites are saying that he was a known "activist" during Ferguson. He is also being labeled a member of #BlackLivesMatter .

If the Facebook profile some claim is him, he was definitely a believer in that movement. It didn't look like the same person to me though. I'm on a phone and couldn't really zoom in or compare pictures either.
