You weren't in the bottom 4........you were in the upper 19/20ths of the class.

St.X has their backups in by the third quarter. Highlands doesn't have the athletes they used to have.

 

I don't know what athletes you are talking about. Three starting O-lineman two running backs, and many receivers that played A LOT on the state title team from last year. They have a place kicker that will be kicking field goals on a D1 scholly, on Saturdays. They have a D1 QB with an offer from Central Michigan. I'm sure that there is a lot more that I have left out. This Highlands football team has plenty of athletes, just trying to figure out who's playing where. I will tell you this, take Highlands lightly or over look them, and you'll have a longer than normal trip back to the "ville." There is one huge difference from last year, and this player is doing everything possible to carry this team to another state title. How much he improves will be the key to Highlands success. Go Birds!!

Believe that Highlands will be broadcasting in their usual spot. Audio only I do believe, but not 100% sure.

 

The games are on video up in the Foundation Club area. I'm curious why they can't stream them online. With the technology that school has I just find it baffling.

I agree the QB has not played at the level of a DI QB so far this season, however he does have the physical size and arm strength to play at the next level IMO. Even if it is a HHS alum recruiter up there it was still a very bold move to offer a player before he has had any valuable/relative varsity snaps. How long has the HHS alum been a recruit for Central Michigan?

So what does X do on offense and defense? I am assuming since the QB is one of the leading rushers that he is a big cog. Do they throw it much? Seems like I read that the percentage is low and that there are some picks, but do not think that he even threw the ball that often.

 

On offense, X is spread team with a lot of QB option runs. Against Henry Clay and BG they threw the ball about 17 times give or take and were pretty efficient, but had trouble in the conditions against Central last week. Ridder, X's QB, will become a very good QB, but currently more dangerous as a runner than a passer.

 

X runs a 3-4 Cover 4. Will typically bring 4, rushing the outside LBer. Don't blitz a lot, try to keep everything in front of them. The old adage of easy to read, hard block would fit this defense pretty well.

Cover 4 is not a prevent defense at X. As a matter of fact Michigan state runs a version of cover 4 almost every snap. Terminology isn't a universal language.
