I generally think Scott County is talented but not as good as their record may indicate (with obvious years being an exception). I know nothing about them this year.

I'll go with the Birds in this one in a close one.

Does anyone close to the birds have an injury report. I know a couple players went out early last week and heard another might be out for this game? I can't cinfirm any names so I didn't list any

You will not get confirmation on here.

Kinda what I figured. Would hate to have an effect on the line in Vegas

:popcorn::ylsuper:

Between this thread and the Lafayette/Trinity this is some good stuff. You just have to love this time of the year.

For a normal program, I would say after getting beat by Cooper, I would guess Scott County would wipe the floor with them.

This is not a normal program. Owensboro led them by 3 TD's last year and they came back to win it. Highlands will not come and lay down. Would I love to see Highlands get stomped?...YES! You love to hate the great programs. I just don't see them laying down, as a matter of fact, I think Scott County better play very well in order to get a W. Highlands is simply the best program in the state. They don't get the luxury of the Big Private schools with 2000+ young men. Yet they go toe to toe with some of the best teams in the nation.

I will pick Scott County, but something tells me I'm wrong to bet against Highlands.

Scott County 29-28

I don't think this game "defines the season", but I do think it goes a long way in helping us know if they have what it takes to be a real contender. It's still very early, but I will be looking to see how they play the entire game. Does this group have that intensity and never give up attitude of the years past. The confidence to get over the top when portions of the game don't go your way. This is the only thing I question right now...because of inside info. LOL. I know they can pull it together, but they have to believe they can too. They need to compete with a very good team and if they do, I think that is very telling. If they get blown out, not sure what happens to this team. I'm hoping the HHS ghosts of the past invade this team's souls and pull them together! They need to believe they can compete with the good teams. This will be what I'm watching tonight...along with better execution that I expect to see. And clean up the penalties!!!!

With everything you stated is why I said it defines the season. Gut check time.

Go to the fortthomas.kyschools.us website and click the Athletics tab. From there click links and then click on HHS on Sports 1 I believe.
