Coopers biggest accomplishment is beating a down HHS team. Blam hows that feel. We'll see how Cooper FINISHES and how HHS FINISHES. Im building Cooper a trophy for their win against Highlands right now. That is the difference between their trophy cases.... finishing

I want you to give me a list of half way decent teams that Pulaski has beatn

No way is the win against HHS Cooper's biggest accomplishment.

When you build this trophy for Cooper are you going to use all the same colored Lego's? Or will you have to mix up the colors because you lost a bunch of pieces?

I cannot find even a bad team Pulaski has beatn...

I'll do it this way...

Highlands kicks it into gear, gels, and plays like its fun:

HHS 28

SC 24

*They also need to think with their brain and not with their stain... no dumb penalties.

If Highlands keeps stumbling, missing tackles, and playing w/o confidence:

SC 42

HHS 17

There is a spectrum between these two obviously but I think those are the boundaries.

I will take "Cover All The Bases" for $1000 Alex...

Wow Hellbird. First off, highlands was in 5A from 2007-2010. They won every 5A title every year they were in 5A. As someone who attended most of the playoff games the last 8 years, I can say unequivocally that 4A was the much tougher class. Granted Highlands talent was at a very high level during those years.

Last week Cooper was better than Highlands. They were more experienced and understood what it took defensively to win last week. Highlands went home, reviewed the tape, made some changes, practiced, and came back with a better approach this week.

Now back to the Cooper-Highlands game. It was 23-13 late 4th qtr. i watched the tape multiple times. If Highlands doesn't go for it on 4th and forever from their own 15 giving Cooper a short field, what does the score end up? Highlands had to go for it, otherwise they're conceding the game with 3-4 minutes left. If they punt, Cooper burns up the time and we get a 23-13 final. My guess is Coach Borchers knows he didn't destroy Highlands and the final number wasn't indicative of it being a close game. A few plays could've changed the outcome.

Does Cooper beat Highlands again if they had to play later this year? We'll never know because they don't play. Maybe they do, maybe they don't. Its unfortunate Cooper petitioned up. Was it possibly to avoid the scenario of having to beat Highlands or Covcath a second time. Sorry if you disagree, but its a fact that the road to a 6A finals berth is much easier the years when Trinity is on the other side, than it is having to beat Covcath then Highlands every year just to advance to the semis.

Act like you've been there even though you haven't and may never get there. There's no need to act like a certain fan who's turned almost everyone against his team. Your coaches and players don't deserve that. I for one will be rooting for Cooper or whoever represents N. Ky. to win the 6A title.

Unequivocally 4A was better?...you mean in your opinion, because that is what it is, an opinion not fact.

So, let's say HHS punts maybe Cooper burns up the clock by running TCA over and over again and still scores.

Maybe HHS petitioned to move up to avoid Johnson Central and CCH but the Colonels caught wind of it and chose to move up. If the HHS posters on this board are calling this a down Bluebirds team, surely the coach's recognized this going into the new realignment of classes and tried to put themselves in a better position for success. Could it be the talent cycle has finally rotated to the team from Park Hills. Maybe there is a reason why HHS chose not to go looking for the big boys for games.

Also, if Cooper was in the same district as HHS and CCH, they would not have to beat them twice to get to semi's. Depending on how the season and playoffs play out, they could do it without beating either, at all.

Who would disagree that not having to play Trinity to reach the finals is easier? Plus, as of right now they are on the other side and it looks like they will no longer be rotating Regional match ups yearly.

I was going to go to the Lafayette/Trinity game. I think I will head over to Georgetwon instead.

What am I missing? Why would Highlands try to avoid CCH, they have owned them for a long time? What's different this year other than CCH's brutal schedule, and a new coach?

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think JC has ever defeated Highlands. So why would HHS be ducking them? This is not a down Highlands team, the talent is there, just need more time to gel. Any body that thinks Highlands is DOWN, wait till play off time rolls around, then let us what you think.

I think this game defines Highlands season. Are they back to "Highlands" after a big hiccup, or are they lost birdies?

This game does not dictate the season. Get real folks. You schedule tough competition to prepare. The season does not hinge on a game when a 5A school plays a game against any other class. Do you want to win? Absolutely. Is the sky falling? Absolutely not.

Sounds like you're prepared to defend a loss already. It Highlands, back in the day they could only lose to T and a GCL team. Scott Co. is trending up, tonight should show where Highlands is at for any doubters.

It will be hard to get a win for the Birds tonight on the road. I don't think it defines there season but they need to play well and win or keep it close and I think they will be fine but if they get beat soundly its not going to be a good sign.

Scott County big double digits

It will be hard and that's why I say it will define the season. Is this the Highlands of old who can almost anywhere in KY and grind out a W, or is this a different team? 2 road losses vs 2 non catholic schools would be telling in my opinion.
