Or a report on Darlington? Feel terrible for him. :(

Regarding the game - great atmosphere, Tanner Morgan has most definitely arrived, and the Colonels need to work on tackling.

Got news on Saturday he was operated on. Broken tibia. Prayers go out to this fine young man!

First of all, I am not Dr and didn't stay at a Holiday in Express either. Nor do I have any insight to the extent of the injury or the surgery for young Mr. Darlington. However about 3 years ago WR Evan Braun from CovCath had a similar Injury against Moeller. He had surgery and was back on the field 6 or 7 weeks later. Here's hoping that a similar recovery can be made by Ben.

Humility is better than pride and there is no need for poor sportsmanship win or lose. Ryle won and has lots of work to do like every other team. The Raiders gave up a kickoff return for a touchdown and CovCath did a great job on other kickoff returns and took advantage of a short punt to score on a 25-30 yard field. The Raiders also overcame a huge disparity in penalty yards and three non-calls on blatant pass interference calls. A good win and time for LexCath.

Are we talking about the same injury here? Broken Tibia takes longer to heal, broken Fibula can get you back on the field faster. Of course, most often when one is broken, both are broken.

I don't know what injury either player had, but just some food for thought.

Just had an opportunity to read thread. Prayers go out to the Senior Darlington sure hope you can return for playoff ball. CCH needs you and the Fort Thomas faithful always want our rival at their best. I hate reading about injuries, yet alone senior season. Hope for a speedy recovery!

How did AJ's numbers end up? I thought he played well for his first varsity start.

OH to be young and in tip top condition! Rooting for him to make it back.

Looked at AJ's stats earlier this morning, 16 of 32 for 235+/- yards. 2 TDS, 0 Ints

Got to like the upside for young Mr. Mayer.

Torrey Cordell-Armstrong broke his Tibia in the Dixie game in 2013 and it took him the entire off season to get back in time for game 1 of the 2014 season. Even then he even admitted to not being 100% confident with his leg until this past off-season. If the player makes it back this season I would be highly impressed. I wish him the best but I don't want him to rush back and make it even worse than it already is and hamper him the rest of his life.

A couple of things, 1) These teams DON'T play 10 times, they play once, and Ryle won. 2) Stop with the would of, could of, should of. Ryle is, and was, the better team, PERIOD, end of story. Ryle 1-0 CCH 0-1. Deal with it!

Deal with what...Ryle winning on one particular night in August that was a play or two away from going either way? I could care less- I wasn't playing in the game nor was one of my sons. Good for Ryle on being 1-0 in a long season. I wish them well.

Just wanted to say I am a huge fan of the Cov Cath Helmets. I know a lot of CCH supporters don't like them, I think they look great. I love the new logo look on the helmets and I love the number on the other side of the helmet ala Alabama

I liked them too. Field was great as well, all they need is lights!

It's all about what Ben and his body can do, what the Lord will allow and what the Dr's have to say. Not discounting what you've said at all but Torrey's injury took place at the end of the season in early November so the timing is different. The season is 15 weeks long- Ben is going to do everything he can to be back out with his brothers.

Very sorry to hear about the Darlington's injury. Injuries always stink, but missing much if not all of your senior year is awful. Really feel for the kid.

Our senior year one of my best friends tore his ACL in the first game and it cost him all of football, all of basketball and much of baseball (I think he got to play a few baseball games towards the end of the season).
