(2) Escape in the second degree is a Class D felony.Effective: January 1, 1975 History: Created 1974 Ky. Acts ch. 406, sec. 171, effective January 1, 1975. Off the top of my head I didn't realize that was a Felony but it appears as if he attempted to escape custody after he was under arrest. Probably something like climbing out the police car and hoofing it. And with his priors this is very serious considering the felony. He could get nothing but probation or he could end up in jail for a solid year. Serious business here.

August 18, 201511 yr Man, I don't know the kid, and I'm not a curser. But this kid just makes me want to shout a couple of choice curse words just from the boneheaded decisions he keeps making. I sure hope he gets it figured out before it's too late...for him and quite possibly someone else he might hurt along the way through his poor decision making.

Made it 350 yards and was stopped via taser. Stupid, stupid, stupid. :no:

Assuming everything the officer put in the report is right on (and I have no reason to believe anything but that) and considering Pike's priors, he should be looking at serious jail time. The escape charge is the kicker, if they indict him on that look out and I think when they look at his criminal history that is exactly what should happen. And if you are friends or family with Pike I am not being a hater here, just calling this one exactly like I see it. He needs substantial jail time, nothing else has worked. If things don't get corrected it is only a matter of time before he either hurts himself or someone else, maybe worse...

I too hope he finds the help he needs, as it is obvious his life is headed down a dangerous path. But at this point, how in the world do you feel bad for him? The excuse of "oh, he's 18 years old and made a dumb mistake" went out the door awhile ago. He was given every opportunity to not only succeed as a young adult, but to steady the ship and learn from those "mistakes" he made. Obviously, he had no interest in changing his life then and apparently still doesn't to this day. I agree with others when suggesting that legit jail time may be the only course of action that could influence Zeke's decision making moving forward. But as they say, "you can't fix stupid...".
