August 18, 201511 yr Wasn't he already in one? I don't know Clyde but I don't want to see anyone throw their life away because of alcohol and drugs, I hope he finds another place that helps him more.

I don't think it means in his car or it would be Fleeing so maybe he tried to get away on foot once he was in custody. Not sure, long in the tooth here, and would need to see the KRS for Escape 2nd to make a better educated guess.

August 18, 201511 yr See post #12 That's the one that forever to get a valid link to and it looks like he was under 21 when that happened. Different set of rules depending on what the sentencing was if he was found guilty. This could very well be his first DUI offense.

I just looked that up myself...makes it appear that he may have actually "gotten away" for a time? 520.030 Escape in the second degree. (1) A person is guilty of escape in the second degree when he escapes from a detention facility or, being charged with or convicted of a felony, he escapes from custody. (2) Escape in the second degree is a Class D felony.Effective: January 1, 1975 History: Created 1974 Ky. Acts ch. 406, sec. 171, effective January 1, 1975.
