The whole thing is a debacle.... I ran into a board member over the weekend and his comments were somewhat comical about the situation. They are looking for someone to stick around (obviously) and the issue with Wolfzorn was purely from a teaching standpoint. The initial offer to stay as coach probably was stupid to begin with...if you don't want to have them around to teach why would you want to them to coach? just my opinion. They better move fast.....and they need to get their teams from grade school through Middle school playing outside of the season.....AAU leagues, etc.. even if they lose every game in an AAU division....they can gain major experience...

I noticed at the Newport Summer League last night that Bellevue fielded a team. Who was that coaching them?

I just think it is safe to say that all parties involved (AD, prinicipal, etc.) in this debacle should take the blame for any lack of success the team/coaches will have this year. This whole situation could take the team from having a successful season this past year to what could be the worst season ever. But I'll keep my fingers crossed the new guy can keep the programs success where it has been.

What Bellevue needs seems to be someone with ties to Bellevue, and not someone who is going to use it as one of the first rungs on a ladder for a coach looking for bigger and better jobs.

There was a miscommunication somewhere. Bellevue did not know they were supposed to go to Walton yesterday.

Tenure is usually received after you have completed your 4th year of teaching. I coached against Wolfzorn when he coached girls and he is a good coach who is probably suited for boys more then girls. He was always well-prepared and seemed to work very hard.

 

By state law the school has to open the job for 30 days. They can pretty much hire who they want, but it must be opened for the 30 day window!
