He was a lame duck because of how much school he missed, that is no secret around town. He should have been a professional honored his contract and the administration may have let him stay on as a coach. The girls track coach did that exact thing and she was allowed by the administration to stay on as a coach. Wolfzorn shot himself in the foot...not the prinicipal

First of all, it's nice that Bellevue allows confidential employee information to go public. Second, I'd like anyone in Bellevue to find the documentation that was given to Wolfzorn stating that he was dismissed because of "excessive absences". Third, Bellevue can't find a BOYS basketball coach. What makes you think they want to try to find a girls track coach?(no offense ladies)

 

Question for you, how many jobs have you worked that if you did something wrong you were let go? Not warned, not reprimanded, not given a chance to redeem yourself. Just flat out let go?

 

The principal had an agenda and actually ended up getting it thrown back in his face...

Define qualified. My guess is that you don't know who applied and who has been offered, if anyone. Coaching at the middle school level or age does not make you "qualified". There were 2 "qualified" applicants that applied. Slim pickens to say the least. They weren't and aren't banging down Bellevue's door for the job and quite frankly...can you blame them.

 

For the record, again, if they gave a crap about the basketball program Wolfzorn would still be there as the coach. If your varsity program is suffering and no one cares who is left to care about the youth programs?

 

 

No I cannot blame them.....not with what is going on down there at this time.

 

As far as the youth programs... I think someone in the community whether it be a parent or whatever should step up and volunteer to coach or run a city league. I know they had a girls youth tournament run down there last year that a buddy told me about where he took his team down and he said it was a great tournament. Well run, people who ran it were parents and were very polite and into the tournament. Its these types that need to step up and be proactive in making sure their kids able to participate.

The longer they wait to hire a coach the easier it is for Bob Seiter to hire himself. With Sanders and Seiter there I bet there aren't many cookies left in the cookie jar.

But If he did NOTHING wrong and did NOT miss any days at the end of the school year, then they obviously just wanted him out and chose the "non renewal" of teachers contract as their way.

He was told his contract would not be renewed in March. He was told he could not coach the next year in April. One had nothing to do with the other, no matter what the administration says.

 

It's all propaganda...the principal knows the real reason he fired him...

"Parents" put themselves in this predicament...

Sorry, I am definetly not familiar with the situation there. :confused:

I know he wasn't fired because of excessive absences...so obviously it had to do with classroom performance, etc. But after he was let go in March he was there only a handful of days...it's called being a professional and honoring the contract he signed...that is why they canned him as coach in April. He wasn't professional enough to fulfill contract
