The Principal. He's reluctant to post the job and the kids that are there have a summer game in about a week. Who's going to coach them? Why is he waiting to post the job? IMO it's because he wants the school year to be over and Wolfzorn to be gone before he posts it. That and I know of a handful of parents who are NOT happy, to say the least. I wouldn't be surprised if the job was posted tomorrow, being today is their last day of school.

I seriously doubt that the Principal in the High School is waiting for Wolfzorn to leave before he posts the job. Somehow I think that Wolfzorn has zero bearing on the job any more.

Why hasn't the AD pushed for getting the job posted isn't that part of his job too?

You're right, Wolfzorn has zero bearing on the job. THAT'S MY POINT!!! What's he waiting for? He did this when Wolfzorn got the job and he's doing it again. He was trying to avoid a confrontation last year and is trying to avoid one again this year. Hence the "letter" that dismissed Wolfzorn from coaching.

Read the thread. The AD has zero input on athletic decisions. At most schools, the AD is consulted if not given the responsibility to make hiring and firing decisions. Not at Bellevue.

Charlie was given that power, Seiter has not...

Batsche would be a great head coach....I think it would almost be like having Swaugs back on the bench stomping his foot and calling the plays. He would bring the program back to the level it was at with Swaugs.

 

 

Who can forget the Swauger foot stomping of the penny loafers and constantly pulling up the dress socks because the pants were always too short. I can assure you I was the cause of many a foot stomp....shot selection sometimes from way downtown would generally get a foot stomp.

The foot stomp, dress socks, hand on the side of his head, and my favorite was when I played for him, was he told us to play harder than ever against NewCath, because they were on the hill and closer to God.

I can only remember 2 wins against NewCath....1981 when they beat them in districts and they were ranked #1 in REgion and in 1989 when we beat them in district up on the hill at their place to get to the Region tournament. I forgot about the hand on the side of the face....with the blank look like..."what are you doing?"

Blame the principal on this one and his inability to stand up to a unhappy board member. The bad thing is the kids at Bellevue suffer..

Who should the contact be? Listen, you can talk about how the process should be, used to be, whatever. I'm telling you how it is. The principal is, and for the record should be, more concerned over filling his teaching positions that are vacant. The AD should be the contact. It's pretty safe to say that the hiring/firing processes for the athletic program are going to be handled differently in the future, as they should be.
