The longer they wait to hire a coach the easier it is for Bob Seiter to hire himself. With Sanders and Seiter there I bet there aren't many cookies left in the cookie jar.

He was told his contract would not be renewed in March. He was told he could not coach the next year in April. One had nothing to do with the other, no matter what the administration says.

 

It's all propaganda...the principal knows the real reason he fired him...

If they let him go in March for both.... then he should have just dealt with it and honored his contract and "educated" those children until school was out.

I know he wasn't fired because of excessive absences...so obviously it had to do with classroom performance, etc. But after he was let go in March he was there only a handful of days...it's called being a professional and honoring the contract he signed...that is why they canned him as coach in April. He wasn't professional enough to fulfill contract

One other thing that's been left out of the discussion. Everyone is on the AD for not filling the job yet the Principal filled all teaching positions before there even was a chance to interview for the coaching position. This tells me a few things.

 

1) The principal knew who he wanted in those positions and didn't care who or what got in his way to fill them.

 

2) He obviously doesn't care about the basketball program enough to give his AD the opportunity to hire a coach that's in the building.

 

3) Wolfzorn did not get fired from basketball because he wouldn't be in the building...unless they're hiring a custodian.

Budman was correct, although a bit premature IMO, there will be an announcement by Monday of the new coaching staff at Bellevue.

In talking to someone from Bellevue this summer, it's pretty safe to say that this would not have happened if this was the football coaching position being filled--for obvious reasons (re #1 in your list).
