In talking to someone from Bellevue this summer, it's pretty safe to say that this would not have happened if this was the football coaching position being filled--for obvious reasons (re #1 in your list).

There are too many Wolfzorn friends on here....the dude miss a boat load of school ask any teacher in the building the will agree. I know this for a fact...I know the guy who subbed for Wolfzorn almost everyday from mid April until the end of school.

It's not as much friends as it is people that know what went on. Believe what you will, the administration, a booster, a board member...etc.

 

I'll concede that Wolfzorn missed a bunch of days after he was let go as a teacher. Who can blame him? You're asking a guy to be loyal to a school that wasn't loyal to him. He did well with the basketball team/players. As strictly a coach, that's all that should've mattered.

 

Wait, not possible. Wasn't CATS testing at the end of April? He was let go as coach in May. You're not making sense btownguy...

Alot of people can blame him for missing he had a job as a teacher first...he is the one who signed his named to teach 185 days....CATS testing days were a few of the days he was there. The school was initally loyal to him and told he could keep the job coaching...he got his feelings hurt and quit showing up then the school let him go as a coach. Like I said before other teachers were let go remained loyal to the school and their contracts and the school in return remained loyal to them. Wolfzorn shot himself in the foot with the excessive absences

It obvious that certain people on here don't want to realize the big picture...he failed as a teacher in his classroom performance, missed too many days for whatever reasons, but still too many, and the administration wants good quality teachers in the building. It's not the administration or AD's fault for the lack of applicants.

Than why wasn't he let go from basketball the same time he was let go from teaching? In fact, he was specifically told that he did a great job with basketball and is expected to be coaching again. Only to be let go by a letter...classy.

He was let go by letter because he wasn't there to talk to face to face. It is black and white. He was given the opportunity to remain as coach...if he would not have missed so much and caused a big headache for the admin (getting subs, parent complaints, etc.) he would still have that opportunity

Herein lies the problem. You're stating probabilities and possibilities while I'm stating facts. You just don't seem to get it.

Truthfully, we've had that discussion 'Q'.

I had not been on BGP for several weeks and just checked back in a few days ago and realized one thing about coaches leaving their jobs---no matter how good of a coach they are or how good of a job they did, there is one guy on every thread who will bash the coach for personal reasons no matter what (good check the Bracken, Pendleton, Ashland, etc. coaches thread about them leaving).

Btownguy, you are that guy. Congratulations. Your PM to me proved it even more than your posts on here.

You have continuously changed you story and your facts about things that you could not possibly know about. You alway post that "I heard" this or "I heard that". You "heard around town" about this or that--those are called rumors and usually are 1/2 true (or less than that).

The latest of these posts prove it. He WAS hand-delivered a letter about his basketball job (that was pointed out weeks ago). That wouldn't tick you off? Remember, that is what he was upset about which is why he missed days in May (do we have to go over all of this again?).
