Only teaching jobs have to be posted 30 days, so you may be right about that part of his job - however coaching jobs do not have to be posted anywhere or any amount of time.

 

I heard former grad Jason West was interested in this job. Has anyone heard that one?

He would be a good candidate...last I heard I think he was teaching down at a county school or something..I wish they would just name someone...this thread is getting old....

Their AD (Seiter) has been coaching them at the Newport league on Thursday nights. He was a coach before and is doing more than just sitting on the bench and supervising. Could he be taking over? I would think it's a possibility considering it will be next to impossible to find someone now. How do you not fill a position over a four month period?

A possibility....however I see that as a big time committment which I am assuming why he got away from it to begin with. How are they doing in Summer Ball?

I put an application in for the job when it was first posted and never heard a thing from anyone.

I would assume but with it being a small school system...I would assume they are hand picking any reputable former grads or locals.....then maybe going outside the area. Be proactive, call the A.D and ask for an interview....worst they can say is NO.

I also applied and was informed they will be hiring a coach on Monday.

I say they announce Jason West as new coach. He is a former Swauger product, had a great career and has a teaching degree with coaching experience. Just what I have heard. I am sure coach Swauger who still is involved with the school has a lot to say about the new coach so this is my prediction. could be way offbase....never know.
