The ad for a basketball coach at Bellevue was still running in Friday's Kentucky Post.

I can't believe some qualified JV coaches have not applied for this. This process has taken way to long. Whoever (AD?) is heading up this process should be looked at long and hard. IMO, That person is failing miserably. Can a player transfer due to lack of head coach? I'd be looking to get my kid out of this situation.

As an AD it would be tough to hire a good candidate when 2 of the 4 applicants turned you down and your esteemed principal left you with zero teaching positions to offer a potential coach. This lies solely on the principal. He created this mess...

I tried to call him today to ask about setting up an interview and I could not leave a message because his mailbox was full.

There you go. Why there is not a line in front of this principal,s door with the intent to get this solved? I would think parents would be going crazy by now. Like I said earlier, if I had a kid there, I'd be looking at every option I had, especially If I had a young player that has no varsity time. I, d be long gone.

If they have this tough of a time hiring their Varsity coach, I can only figure that the Frosh,Jr High and youth programs are going to suffer as well.

Just received an email from Bob Seiter and he said that they hired a coach on Monday and when the admin returns from Louisville they will make an announcement.

Define qualified. My guess is that you don't know who applied and who has been offered, if anyone. Coaching at the middle school level or age does not make you "qualified". There were 2 "qualified" applicants that applied. Slim pickens to say the least. They weren't and aren't banging down Bellevue's door for the job and quite frankly...can you blame them.

 

For the record, again, if they gave a crap about the basketball program Wolfzorn would still be there as the coach. If your varsity program is suffering and no one cares who is left to care about the youth programs?

As we all have said this position should have been filled along time ago. I know the administration cares about the program that's why the previous coach was let go.....they can't help no one has applied

If previous coached cared about the program he would have honored his teaching contract and try to work something out with administration...instead of deciding to miss quite a bit of school the last few months.

On one hand the position should've been filled yet on the other no one has applied. Tough to fill it without candidates.
