  1. Will be a another classic Dixie/Scott game. Scott blew a big 3rd quarter lead in the first contest. Scott will win this one by 6. If the weather forecast is correct this game will not be played.
  2. Ryle has improved drastically from the beginning of the year. Another good win for the Eagles. If I'm not mistaken Ryle is the #1 seed in their district. Any stats Tiger?
  3. :thumb: I like that attitude. I'm sorry but there is something special about the ALL A. The atmosphere is elecrifying. I agree with Striker, why not win both. St. Henry did it a few years ago and darn near won both.
  4. Lets give Conner some credit here. Sounds like they played pretty well to the end. Doesn't mean Scott played down to their competition. It's a W in February and I'm sure Scott will take it and run. Good Luck to both teams the rest of the year!
  5. Highlands (5-15) -- Simons 15, Simpson 7, Stewart 5, Hurtt 3, Connley 2 Eaton 2, Wise 2. Holmes (15-8) -- Hill 18, Rice 18, Arnold 6, Henderson 6, Jefferson 2. Highlands 10 14 3 9--36 Holmes 12 14 11 13--50 HHS scored 12 points the 2nd half while Simpson iced his ankle. When he was in the game it was a good game. If he gets 100% healthy HHS is very scary come district and regional time.
  6. Great post! :thumb: People from your larger district rival school have no class to act like that or say those things. Did you ever think there might be some jealousy involved? They will never experience what your players have accomplished through hard work and determination. Anyone who has ever been to Richmond for the All A "STATE" Tournament understands this is a great atmosphere and is a first class ran "STATE" tournament. Congratulations to the Brossart Mustangs players, coaches and fans for all working together to become the 2007 All A State Champions.
  7. :thumb: Makes no sense at all that Bardstown would have 4 and Brossart 3. I'm sure Niemeyer could care less but he was well deserving. No one thought they could win it without Munch but Niemeyer stepped up and did a great job. Congratulations to Jimmy Uebel on the MVP. Great tournament and great leadership. Cooper and Kidney solid as usual. Great crowd from the Brossart side. Very well represented!
  8. How did Highlands let this guy get away? The man is a great coach. Congratulations to the coaches and players. Mustang I'm sure there was a time you never thought you would see this day!
  9. Wasn't Willie and his team in the semifinals of the region last year?
  10. Challenge excepted. Coach Schlarman won a regional title in 2000 at Brossart. If I'm not mistaken they lost 14 or so games that year. He won a regional title with very little talent. I agree this year he doesnt have a ton of talent. Just dont be surprised if they make some noise in the 9th region when Nic Simpson returns. He is an excellent coach.
  11. Brossart 62 Gallatin 47 Cooper will be too much inside.
  12. What bad news did Brossart get yesterday? I heard the announcers say guys stepped up after the bad news from yesterday. I take it Munch is out longer.
  13. Wrong! Coaching is not overrated. Yes they do receive too much blame when their teams are struggling. Talent doesn't always prevail. Preperation is such a huge part of coaching and being successful. There are upsets at every level night in and night out. Coach Schlarman is a great coach and HHS is lucky to have him. You name any team anywhere that could afford to lose their 2 starting guards and top 2 scorers and wouldnt struggle just a little bit. HHS is improving and will only get better when Mr. Simpson gets back.
  14. SG by 13. Pelle is too much to handle. Beechies are struggling.
  15. The home winning streak is coming to an end this week. Clark on Tuesday and Scott on Thursday. Sounds like the beginning of a new streak at PCHS.
  16. Not close to the #3 team in the region. Top 5 players are pretty easy. Hard to keep Uebel from Brossart off the list as well as Sharp from Scott. Miller, Knowles, Jones, Pelle and Cooper/Belcher have to be top 5.
  17. Why is it that when Holmes played CCH and HC tough in their district games it was Holmes played so well against the top teams in the 9th region. Scott beat this same team that played so well in those other games. Give Coach Carr and his players some credit. They also played without one their top 2 horses. CCH and Holmes will more than likely meet in the finals of the 9th region. Lets give Scott some credit-they have played a very difficult schedule and most people think they are overachieving. Good Luck to both teams the rest of the year.
