Can't answer that. Can tell you that the owner of the Grail told me a month ago that they were closing right after the ASG, so it wasn't a secret.

You must never go at night. J Social is always packed and you can't move inside Tin Roof on any Friday or Saturday night.

I was there once on a Thursday night after a Reds game with my boss and VP, about two years ago. My group of three was half the crowd there. The beer was cold, but it was a big empty barn, and from what I've heard and what everyone on BGP is saying, my experience was the norm. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. And clearly, either the concept is bad, or they are just poor operators, as Toby's places are shutting down everywhere. Maybe he should call Jon Taffer.

The Two-Bits bar that took over for Wine Guys isn't set to open for a little while I don't believe, but they were open for the All-Star festivities. Hopefully it wasn't finished, because it was an incredibly cheap knock-off version of 16-Bits up off Mercer.

Johnny Rocket's was a great example that you have to know what you are doing even if you have a great location. I had meetings with the owner and his manager last November/December as they were trying change the concept away from Johnny Rockets to Crosley Cafe. Let's just say I knew that place was doomed after talking with them a couple of times.

I think that location would be awesome for a Gameworks - Dave and Busters type concept and it would fit great in that space.

And it's far and away the worst location of the Banks IMO. Completely away and excluded from everything else down there.

Moerlien house has survived. That is a worse location with similar square footage. They have the right product and management.
