Toby Keith's Cincinnati closure

 

Looks like they defaulted on their lease.

 

I have been there 3-4 times but its been well over a year.

They need to divide that space up and bring in two different options IMO.

Who owns the buildings down there? That is to say, what company holds all those leases?

There is quite a bit of unoccupied space down there still. Kinda surprised they haven't been able to attract other businesses.

I have a feeling it's similar to the Fourth Street Live development in Louisville. Due to the high-profile location, they likely charge rents far in excess of what it should actually bring. I don't know why they do it this way, but it happens all the time. Fourth Street Live might have one original tenant left.

 

That said, these Toby Keith things are apparently shutting down all over the country so I might be reading more into it than is really there...

^I think it's more a Toby Keith operations problem than a location problem.

 

I'd say Holy Grail, Moerlein, and Yard House are all swimming in profits. Those places are always packed. Jefferson Social has been pretty successful since moving there too IMO.

Can't believe that its closed. I was just there for the All-Star game. I wonder if the landlord (or whoever it was) waited for the All-Star activities to end before closing the place down.

Last week when in Gulf Shores we went to The Wharf in Orange Beach to eat at his resturaant there. Looked for 10 mins before finally finding out it closed about a month ago.

Only went a few times and never remember it being too crowded due to its size. Only went for drinks, so I don't know what the food is like, but I imagine it's typical bar stuff. So, not really a place to go eat, not really a place to watch sports, just sort of a place for loud country music/dancing. I suppose the novelty of that wore off.

And it's far and away the worst location of the Banks IMO. Completely away and excluded from everything else down there.

They could do a lot of things with that space which would make it more attractive and bring people to that side of the banks. Leaving it as one huge space would be a mistake IMO.

How about a remake of Flanigans and Caddy's
