I can't stand it when I see meat, dairy, frozen, or refrigerated items sitting abandoned somewhere like down the cereal or soft drink isle at the grocery store because the customer was too lazy to put it back where they originally found it after they've decided that they no longer wanted to buy it.

 

When spotted you never know how long it's been sitting there.

 

My OCD won't let me just walk past it, and I have to locate a store employee to give it to them. Sometimes I'll spy on them just to make sure they don't put it right back on the shelf, and that they follow proper store procedures about abandoned biodegradable items.

 

I'm sure that I spot items like this 9 out of every 10 visits to the grocery store and it seems to happen in every Kroger store that I visit no matter the neighborhood.

 

At the nasty Kroger in Covington, I'm also forever spotting dairy items past their expiration dates which I can't ignore, and again will have to locate a store employee to report it.

 

One time I found numerous packages of Eggland's Best Hard Boiled Eggs that were a whole month past their date. Same thing with numerous containers of yogurt. Have also discovered stuff well past their date in the milk coolers.

 

To the store's defense, I have recently noticed a more conscientious looking friendly woman working in dairy area the last 6 months, and have also noticed that things there are now running more smoothly than they were when the younger guy, who had a look like he didn't care, used to work there. Thankfully it appears that they let him go.

I can't help but notice that in many instances, "the right way" is also "the full-blown OCD way".

Yup. I was recently fired from that position. And I'm not crying. :lol2:

Then do as TB&G said. You can always return the cart to the store.

I have a few cart offenses on my record. I'm not proud of it. There were times when the cart corral was full or the store did not have one, and I left the cart out in the lot. :scared: But I would try to postition it so that it was somewhat out of the way and on the line, and never on a hill.

 

These offenses occurred when the kids were already buckled in the car seats, and I would not leave them unattended whilst returning the cart to the store.

Wife and I always put them in the center console once we park. Absolutely no need to have a phone on you while at Mass.

But in the high school sports forums when someone tells another poster that it's a different year, and they can't use last year's results to judge how this year will go...

 

Then they give their reasoning for why their team should be ranked higher, without even realizing that THEY ARE DOING THE EXACT SAME THING.

I park close to the end of the parking lot to get extra steps in. There used to be corrals out yonder and I used them. After a recent re-model the corrals were all put in the first or second row of spaces. I asked the manager about it and was told it was so the employees didn't have to walk all the way out there to get carts. Haven't used once since. I do try to put my cart out of the way so as not to block a space. If they ever move a corral back out to the nether regions I'll start using it again.

 

So you park farther away to get some "extra steps" in, but then wont take the extra steps to put the cart up? Surely you see the irony in that.

Very important, in my opinion. A man's handshake says a lot. Likewise, a woman's handshake means a lot.

 

I have noticed a trend most of my life where some alpha males shake very softly when shaking each others hands and sometimes I think that bleeds over.

On the landscape angle I don't like others pruning my shrubs or trees. Those mistakes in pruning take seasons to fix if fixable at all.
