Not being on time is the only one that really irritates me. the most irritating is when I tell the family when we are leaving the house, give them notices every 5 minutes (we are leaving in 15 minutes, leaving in 10 minutes,...) and I still end up sitting in the car waiting on someone to come out the door

I am a coordinator of a few groups where agendas and minutes are created (which I do, of course). At times when I cannot make the meeting, I delegate the responsibility to someone else. I turn over the templates that I use and I provide samples of previous items. After that, why can't they follow directions and do it the same way that I do?

It's a matter of passive-aggressiveness now.

You should be ordered to leave if it rings during service! The past two weeks a cell phone went off during Mass, I always give them a shameful stare down for a bit shaking my head.

When people mow and throw their grass on the road. It is usually the person who has grass knee deep to a tall Indian who is the culprit. First of all I never let my grass get to high then I mulch it or bag it but I never throw it on the road for someone to drive through and get it all over their car.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

 

We own our own road, so we'll leave it. if it doesn't stop raining soon, we're going to have to have the guy who owns the farm across said road cut it for hay and bail it.

I park close to the end of the parking lot to get extra steps in. There used to be corrals out yonder and I used them. After a recent re-model the corrals were all put in the first or second row of spaces. I asked the manager about it and was told it was so the employees didn't have to walk all the way out there to get carts. Haven't used once since. I do try to put my cart out of the way so as not to block a space. If they ever move a corral back out to the nether regions I'll start using it again.

 

You'd get extra steps in by taking it to the corral and walking back to your car.

Correct and always full. Sams is a good example of that, hit it mid day on Saturday and good luck getting a cart into the coral, carts are hanging out halfway in the drive lanes.

 

Seems like a lot of people DO use the corrals. But, that does lead me to an example of me doing things one way and being annoyed when others don't. When I put my cart in the corral, I always line it up and push my cart into another. I have been known to get into the corral and straighten up the carts and push them into each other so it's all neat and tidy.

I can't help but notice that in many instances, "the right way" is also "the full-blown OCD way".

I will literally take dishes out if the washer and realign them. Each slit is designated for a fork, spoon or knife. It makes it so much easier to unload the dishes.

Shaking hands. Especially for men. When you get a shake that feels like a dead fish.

 

Very important, in my opinion. A man's handshake says a lot. Likewise, a woman's handshake means a lot.

I have a WAY of doing dishes and my family does it the WRONG way. I rinse every dish before filling the sink. I then put each dish on the counter in groups. Plates with plates. Cups with cups. I then clean each sink. I then fill one and leave the other empty. Nothing can be in the rinse sink. I then START with the cups and glasses. Have to be first. You CANNOT throw any dirty dishes into either sink when I am doing dishes. They go on the counter. If it's not that way it's wrong.

 

I can dig that. I share some of those tendencies but I'm not crotchety enough yet to enforce the procedural aspect.

I have found that if there's a household chore that you particularly loathe - let's say loading the dishwasher - if you perform it in a slipshod manner a few times' date=' you won't have to do it any more. The voice of experience speaks.[/quote']

Making their beds. I make ours the first thing getting out of it. My kids do not do this at all now. They did growing up. Also' date=' when I stay at someone's place, I make the bed, even if I know they will change the sheets when I leave or hopefully they do. My daughter stays here 1-2 nights a week and never makes the bed in the guest room.[/quote']

 

Our bed is very easy to make (one big comfy comforter), but I still hate doing it.

 

If I stay overnight somewhere, I Will make the bed but I must admit that my effort is directly related to my friendship/relationship. For example, I'm going to put a lot more effort into making the bed at my in-laws than my buddy's house.
