What's the latest?

Who looks good (teams/players)?

Upsets?

Watching Hoop Dreams Black right now. Jon Jon Henry having a big time game. Probably has 20+ with 4:10 to go in the 3rd

Games I've watched...

11th: Manimal, Charlotte Court, TBC, Hoop Dreams all look pretty solid

9th: Louisville Magic looks like team to beat

10th: several solid teams

Wireman (and anybody else). Thanks for any and all updates.

9th grade. Know Lex Future, Hoop Dreams-orange, Kyrptonite and of course Louisville Magic are all 2 n 0. Have to agree though that Magic is the team to beat

Why in the heck can KBA NOT get enough decent officials!! Tonite was an absolute joke! How do you get to the championship portion of the tourney and have officials who were on their 12th, yes I said 12th, game of the day?!! This has absolutely nothing to do about sour grapes or other teams whatsoever. This has to do with out of shape and worn out officials who don't or can't hustle down the floor! Our officials in tonite's game never made it to half court, and were barely getting to the 3-point line when the ball was advancing in the opposite direction. It was so bad one of our parents took video of how lazy these officials were. Then to add insult to injury, these same two officials left our game and went to work a 13th game! What a joke and flat out give KBA a bad name.

I clearly understand being tired but this is the HIGH SCHOOL State AAU tourney and not 2nd and 3rd graders!! Not to mention some games had 3 officials while some only had 2 and not very good one's in many cases. It's a wonder why AAU gets a bad wrap, this just adds to the perception. Absolute dis-service IMO.

I'm tired tired and all I did was watch a bunch of games. I have to imagine that the officials are drained.

There were 4-5 times today when I instinctively held my hands up in disbelief that nothing was called. But I have to give the officials credit. That a LOT of games and they are human.

There has always been a problem with officials and support personnel at the KBA.

There is no reason that off officials should be able to work so many games in a day. And for years not all, but many officials there leave many scratching their heads.

A team pays almost $600 to play two pool play games and then they are one and out, to pay that much money and having trouble getting both a time keeper and a scorer at your court? Then get this, then when someone tells the official that the score is wrong again, that official snaps back "it's only a kid"? Well the girl keeping the clock and score was about 18, but there is no excuse for this problem. And to that official, then why have a state AAU tourney if the score does matter.

Final 4 in each grade pretty much set.

11th grade. Manimal vs. Hoop Dreams and Charlotte ct. vs. TBC elite

10th grade. Matt's mustangs vs. KY Hoopsters and WKY elite vs. Lou magic

9th grade. Lex.Future vs. Hoop Dreams and Lou.magic vs either Attucks wolfpack or Lou lightning

9th Grade: I think Attucks Wolfpack defeated Louisville Lightning.

Correction Shining Stars beat Hoop Dreams to make it to the final 4. Shining Stars Lay will play Lexington Future and Louisville Magic will play Wolfpack on the other half of the bracket. Solid Final 4

Excellent. Thanks for the correction. Shining star (Lay) is who? Lay,Ruthsatz,Kunkel,?

Shining Stars beat Lexington Future in a close one. Not to take anything from them because they played great, but believe they had 20+ points from the stripe. Refs were tired, mouthy with the fans. Horrible!QUOTE=Just Jim;5510423]Excellent. Thanks for the correction. Shining star (Lay) is who? Lay,Ruthsatz,Kunkel,?

Charlotte Court 17U defeated Manimal for the state championship title in their age division.
