To the contrary I don't think it is deep at all. No Travelers, Louisville Magic or Hoop Dreams Orange.

I would guess at the Adidas event as well as the Louisville Magic.

So two of the top teams won't be playing in state tournament?

Not showing them for Indy May Classic.

I'm told by head coach Maze Stallworth that 2016 Taylor County star Quentin Goodin will be playing with Team Manimal in AAU State Tourney. That's an interesting development.

The Louisville Magic program does not have a 17U team this year so players that may have played Louisville Magic 16U last year or players they would have went after are still playing in the event, just with different teams.

 

I may be wrong but HD Orange has several players (Holman & Miller) able to compete in the Adidas Gauntlet but probably not in AAU State due to reclassification rules being different in the governing bodies. When key players are not available for non-injury reasons it makes sense to potentially sit out an event.

I think I remember Coach Q saying that Holman would be ineligible for State AAU this time. Yeah, that makes sense then.

So Goodin has quit Hoop Dreams and is now playing for Manimal? Interesting... Any word on why he quit playing for HD?

KY Elite will be in the 17u.

 

The way I understood it was Goodin was just playing with Manimal for this weekend. I could be wrong but just what I heard.
