Reds lose Corcino to the Dodgers.

At least we still have Kevin Gregg on the roster.

Good, he needs to pitch.

And that's why people shouldn't get too hung up on what they hear about prospects. Much more often than not they don't live up to the hype. Corcino couldn't get it done at Triple A. He was in Double A for a third season at age 24 (25 in August). Obviously now it looks like it would have been a good move to trade him. if the Reds had traded him back then people would have gone crazy

Corcino could dial it up to 97 mph a few years back, at one point he made the BA Top 100. Now his FB tops out around 91 mph and he has no control over it. At one point he was the second coming of Cueto, now he's a reclamation project. No clue what happened to him but the Dodgers had nothing to lose and the Reds had given up on him and needed room on the 40 man.

Everything I've read says that Mesoraco should be ready to start a game at some point this weekend. I think Meso starts Sunday's game. Barnhart was just brought up as insurance just incase Pena would go down and Meso isn't quite ready yet.

When Skipworth was brought up Barnhart wasn't able to come up yet unless they officially put Meso on the DL. It had something to do with the fact Barnhart was already on the 40 man and not enough days had passed since he had been assigned to AAA to start the season. Skipworth was added to the 40 man making him eligible to be called up immediately. I'm glad that Barnhart got the call incase of emergency, from what I've ready Skipworth may be the worst defensive catcher in the minor leagues.

George Grande on the TV with Chris W. Doesn't get any better.

Check out the Cubs vs Cards the last few years. Cubs play Cards tough but Reds drill Cubs. Go figure.

Sam LeCure topped out at 86 in Louisville. Mostly at 83-84. Something must not be right.

Is it me or does Cueto look a little more hefty in the middle than in the past?

Maybe he is wearing rib protection like NFL QBs. Or maybe he just consumed too many ribs.

Hopefully Byrd's bat begins to speed up a bit here soon. He can't catch up to the high heat and that's an area he's feasted on in the past, he can't lay off.

Walking the bases loaded to get to Molina might be the dumbest decision in Price's career.

Molina sits on Johnny's first pitch fastball and clears the bases.

Poor play by Marlon in left field two plays before set the table.

I am getting the feeling of a long, unproductive season. :(

Wow, This is pathetic. There is only three Reds that would contribute in the Cards organization, Votto, Chapman and Cueto. I am counting the line up, bull pen, starters, bench, coaching staff, front office, scouts, beer vendors, hot dog vendors and parking attendants. Sad but true.
