March 31, 201511 yr Lyles and Booker will be the best pros off this year's team. Could very well end up happening. Both guys are nice players, but I don't know if either is really the kind of guy that you build a franchise around though. With Lyles, he has the opportunity to be a very good second or third scorer in the right role, but I don't see him being a guy that just takes over games. Booker has a bit of a higher upside, but I'm not saying that he's going to be on the Davis, Cousins, Wall level (and I don't think you are saying that either). I'm personally not "as in love" with Towns as some others are. I wonder about his lower body and core strength and whether it's going to allow him to translate into a game changer like a Davis, Cousins, Wall, or even Bledsoe. Not trying to be a hater, I just wonder how a lot of these UK guys wind up turning out at the next level because right now they are playing in a system that could be masking some deficiencies; at the same time, you could argue the other side of the coin and say that the system is holding back their production.

Dennis wore a dress but busted his hump to do all the dirty work that was required of him day in and day out for years. I dont know if Willie has that in him. I hope he does but I don't think WCS will ever make the impact that Rodman did.

Here is the reality, guys are bigger, stronger, and faster than the were in 1975 and it's not even close. 40 years ago a dunk was a big deal, a really big deal. It's like comparing the USA Olympic team from 1992 to the most recent Olympic team. Then you realize LeBron is bigger than Karl Malone. Karl Towns would destroy Mark Pope, Walter McCarty or anyone else the 96 team attempted to guard him with and he would destroy Benson from Indiana. Those guys weight 220 lbs soaking wet.

I have heard several people complaining about his game commentary, but I have developed a useful talent of tuning out people whenever I want, and really don't have much, if any recollection of anything he said.

This is exactly right. After watching "I hate CL" and then watching recent games, Modern players would annihilate anybody over the past decade. Sorry I loved all the old UK teams but they would get demolished.
March 31, 201511 yr What Webber said wasn't wrong, WCS isn't a polished offensive player. But I guess what makes me question him is if WCS was a polished offensive player wouldn't he be in the talk for the #1 overall pick? I mean it's obvious he has flaws but you can't be an NBA analyst and assume a college player is a finished product. Even more so with a player who has improved every season. Plus on a team where no one's stats stands out for a reason almost everyone knows because playing time , how can you use stats as your argument. As someone mentioned earlier Grantland did an article on KAT and WCS using analytics that would make Webber feel like a fool. Again in genreal he wasn't wrong I just think he took it to far. Is someone going to try and convince me their are 32 better centers in the NBA right now where Willy has no shot to start ?
