March 31, 201511 yr ^Speaking of Ulis, I saw about a month or so ago that Chad Ford said NBA scouts were in love with Ulis' game, but they almost all agreed he'd return to Kentucky. His comments seemed to imply that scouts saw Ulis as a potential 1st round pick this season. I love his game too. I really can't think of someone that played old-school PG this good in college since Chris Paul. He's just tiny. I think he would really struggle to defend in the NBA, but they also said that about Steph Curry too.
March 31, 201511 yr Don't get me wrong, I think Towns will be an All-Star caliber guy. I just see Lyles and Booker's games translating really well. Booker is going to be a high volume scorer. If Booker gets on a good team that understandings spacing and plays will pace he will do great.
March 31, 201511 yr If Webber was the first person to say this then I could see all the Webber hate that we'll be seeing in the near future. He's definitely not alone in these sentiments. He was just on the right show with the right people to get his opinion out there. Jemele Hill has been saying this for weeks now on His and Hers. The thing that gets me, other than the overall tone is 1. Him getting so upset by the D. Jordan comparison when it turns out his numbers weren't particularily eye catching either coming out. 2. Saying you can't play in the league if you can't score. Then what do you call Tony Allen, Tyson Chandler, Joakim Noah. The league is so predicated off of the pick and roll now, that him just being a good-great finisher around the rim will be enough for him at the offensive end.

I think Lyles will be solid contributor, not a threat from deep, solid defender. I think Booker will be a terrific spot up shooter but won't be able to guard his counterpart in the league. I think team fit will be more crucial to both than to KAT. I hope they're all all stars.
March 31, 201511 yr WCS will be a Lottery Pick due to his ability to run the floor like a Gazelle, defend with length/shot blocking, play above the rim and handle the rock if needed on the wing.

I see Trey as like a David West type power forward that just puts up nice consistent numbers for 10-15 years. Maybe not many all-star appearances, but a guy that's on the cusp of one every season.

Don't think he's the pure athlete that CWebb was, but :idunno:

March 31, 201511 yr Are you serious Jemele Hill? Maybe your not serious? I think it's common knowledge that most NBA guys question Willie's offensive abilities at the next level. Lucky for him his defense is good enough that it won't matter.
March 31, 201511 yr I think Willie's ceiling is as high as Willie wants it to be. I'm not convinced that he'll work hard enough at the next level to reach his full potential. I think he could carve a very nice career for himself in the NBA, if he put his heart and soul into it. With that said, I hope every analyst out there has something negative about this team and its players between now and Saturday.
March 31, 201511 yr The only thing I will say about WCS and its the same thing I will say about Montrez Harell. Both of them struggle with anything other than a dunk. I would like to see both of them develop that mid range jump shot. I think WCS will be a very good pro because he runs the floor well and is very athletic. I can see him having a long pro career and be a solid center over a 7-10 year span.
March 31, 201511 yr I haven't listened to the segment, but if what was originally posted is true...then I have zero issues with what Chris Webber said. Spot on about most, if not all IMO. (I don't remember the 99 Illinois team, so he has me on that one. But, put me in the 12 Team > 15 Team, if that means anything)
March 31, 201511 yr Just listened to the segment. It is what it is. But one clarification: CWebb DID NOT say they weren't better than the '99 Illinois team. He said: They weren't better than the '89 Illinois Team. That was the one that lost a tough game against Michigan in the Final Four; :thumb:

He really sees the floor and runs the game like very few.
