He then said that Arkansas played Kentucky really tough twice this season, and that West Virginia is better than Arkansas. Only a complete idiot would think Arkansas played them even remotely tough either time.

 

Must be a correlation between that and why he always underachieves with his teams in the tournament.

WVU is 283rd in 3pt FG% D and 304th in 2pt FG% D. Andrew (2 turnovers in the last 5 games) and Tyler (on pace to have the best single season A-T ratio in UK history) aren't going to cough the ball up enough to offset WVU's terrible halfcourt defense. One little tidbit, Jaysean Paige who played his senior season at Perry County Central plays for WVU averaging 5.8 points on 40% shooting.

 

I could be wrong but wasn't WVU a terrible shooting team in 2010 too and yet in the first half of that game they couldn't miss from three. In fact I believe every shot they made was from the three point line in that game. So hopefully history doesn't happen again.

People forget that West Virginia team was the #1 2 seed, were they not? Weren't they ranked in the 5-7 range all season? This West Virginia team doesn't even compare in talent IMO.

Just looked it up. They were the 2 seed in that region with a record of 27-6 and Big East Tournament Champion. Finished 3rd in the Coaches Poll, not sure throughout the year.

Right. So in other words, worlds better than this team. That team had Devin Ebanks, Truck Bryant, Kevin Jones, and Da'Sean Butler on it. Outside of maybe Staten, all 4 of those guys would be the best player on this WV team IMO. Completely different animal.

According to ESPN through the regular season, UK had less turnovers per game than Nova, so I guess his team turns the ball over a lot as well.

 

As far as Arkansas the first meeting UK had then down 78-47 with 8:06 left in the game and the second meeting they lead 67-48 with 5:44 left in the game. Unless MTV is going to lower down the 25 pts. Rock N Jock baskets at the under 4:00 timeout, I don't see how this is playing them tough.

I just don't know how much I believe that statistic. I'd like to see that somewhere other than coming out of Shane Battier's mouth. I remember against Arkansas press Ulis was breaking it by himself and didn't break a sweat. No chance UK turns it over 25% of their possessions tomorrow. No chance.
