I don't think that matters at all.

 

It's a tough thing to happen. Something that has not been mentioned is other reasons why the kid may have picked UL. Everything doesn't have to be about football. Some kids pick the school based on what they want to major in. Maybe he wanted to major in Engineering and UL had the best program out of the schools recruiting him and is that weighed into the reason he chose UL.

 

I know that won't change anyone elses mind who have no issue with what Petrino did, but I thought it was something that was being overlooked. People have said he can just choose another school, I'm sure there are some that will take him. But what if those schools don't offer what he wants to major in?

Durham beat him all 3 years when he was at Ark.

 

Plus Durham was on 4 teams who did beat UL

Arkansas and UK only played once while Petrino was there (the first year), a game UK did win.

 

And for what it's worth, forget about getting beat; if Petrino had never left Louisville, the Cats would be going into next season trying to figure out how to end an ongoing 12-game losing streak to the Cardinals.

I realize that this is fairly commonplace...maybe not the timing but the fact that "commitments" get taken back. However, just because it is commonplace does not mean it is right or should be commonplace. Maybe if more HS coaches called out college coaches for this and did not allow the colleges back to their school, this would not happen as often. In any event, the coach did shed light on one of the many shady sides of college sports and recruiting, which is a good thing. I don't agree that the coach should say L'ville cannot recruit any of his players. He should say that L'ville is not welcome on school grounds and he will not talk to their coaches about any of his players. The HS coach should NOT try to obstruct any of his players or their parents from talking to L'ville even if he does not want to be involved in the process.

Clearly Bobby needs to learn to give non committable offers until UL says so. Would save him a headache.

Yea that is bad!! But if you can play offered at that level you should have Muti offers. Something to fall back on.
