Yea that is bad!! But if you can play offered at that level you should have Muti offers. Something to fall back on.

 

I would think most of those schools moved on to other kids after he turned them down. Hope one of them still had an opening for him but can see if none did.

I've gotta ask. Who's scholarship at Wake Forest did this kid take? Do you really believe that Wake kept a scholly on the shelf just in case?

Getting to play them every year I bet had a little factor in his decision. Hope he smashes them every year.

You really believe that the scholly hadn't been offered to anyone else? If so I have a bridge in NYC you may be interested in buying.

^ I don't think UK is full with 85 scholarship players, I think they have 83, so maybe Wake is/was in a similar situation.

I guarantee you it was offered to someone, probably to several someones. It is definitely possible it went unclaimed though. If they have 20 available they probably offered twice that at least. You're never getting everyone you offer.

I read an article that only 5 of their 12 junior redshirt scholarship players are coming back. That opened up 7 scholarships. I believe they had 83 on scholarship and this makes 84 so they are still short a scholarship player. And I am sure there are were offers to other players that haven't decided or went somewhere else.

This is probably an unpopular observation. I'm not a fan of Petrino, either.

 

Though not 2 weeks before signing day, I think it's pretty well established that offers get pulled relatively often. For some reason, it just bothers me that the coach, that is all up in arms with Louisville and banning them from his campus, did not advise his player that he should continue to take visits. Only to keep his name out there in front of other programs, if only for that very reason. If he had, and the player ignored him, he'd have no reason to be all upset.

You mean 2 DAYS, right? I think a lot of players want to get the whole college recruiting thing "done" before their senior season so they can just concentrate on playing. He thought he had it wrapped up. That is the whole point of committing early...so you get the process done. Unfortunately, a commitment is not really a commitment I guess (for both sides). It's like the Seinfeld bit regarding reservations..."anybody can take a reservation, the key is you have to HOLD the reservation"...
