tcjkbt
If that local sales tax for specific projects becomes law in Kentucky, then I can see something like this happening in Louisville.....not necessarily sports venues but other community amenities. TAC
You could probably order your FRONT ROW season tickets now! I'm sure if it ever gets built there will be plenty of open seats for games.
nees1212
Wow. Indy really has it going on nowadays. They also have the nicest sports complex I've ever seen, and it's only partially done (Grand Park).
Getslow
If that local sales tax for specific projects becomes law in Kentucky, then I can see something like this happening in Louisville.....not necessarily sports venues but other community amenities. Indy is one of the bigger cities (along with places like Sacramento, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, etc.) that are making a BIG push to try and get their lower-division teams a spot in the continually-expanding MLS. Stadium construction is a big part of it. A soccer-specific stadium deal is what just got Orlando and Atlanta their expansion teams in the next couple years. The other big part -- obviously -- is attendance. The Indy Eleven sold out every one of their home games last season, just over 10,000 fans per game.
