Not making an issue of it. Just stating they way they have conducted themselves in the first 7 years. Point taken, there are no issues but there aren't too many schools that have accomplished so much so fast which was the point I was trying to make.

Wow u take things extemely literally don't you? If you know anything about Cooper history they are rarely among the favorites just like last year belng picked 3-4 in the district and underdogs in every playoff game. My point is predicting in January who the best teams are is pointless and the less talk about Cooper is the way they like it, albeit it does make for interesting conversation for some who like to make bold predictions. Things will get worked out on the field come August.

Highlands is #1 till they get knocked off. #2 & #3 Ryle and SK are loaded. This will be a war and could flip. (I'll be a homer and put Ryle over them. lol) #4 Beechwood, They are very good, just don't know if they are 6a or highlands competitive. #5 Ryle and Beechwood beat CCH so they fit there. HM: Cooper, you just never know they may surprise some people. Dixie- lost a lot due to graduation they will have to earn their way back.

I just don't see Ryle as 1 or 2. You say they are loaded but they only have 1 or maybe 2 guys that are difference makers. England and if Morgan is as good as you all claim. SK is loaded, Ryle may have trouble winning their own district.

Ryle may be able to beat and that is CCH and that is a big question mark also. Like I said earlier I would make a coin flip between Ryle and Cooper and you don't even have Cooper in the top 5.

CovCath had a lot going on the week of Beechwood.Action by the coaching staff had the team in turmoil. Wagner gets hurt on their first series and the wheels fell off. The next week they play Ryle with a receiver playing QB and loose 21-14

Now that being said I have no idea if Ryle and Beechwood should be rank higher that CovCath, but to do so solely on last year is a mistake.

They now are all reunited with the kids that were good enough to play varsity ahead of schedule. Not many teams have beaten this group over the last couple years. It's just one of our stronger classes and I believe with the underclassmen talent available they will be very hard to beat. I believe they will give Highlands the best competition they have had in NKY in a while. JMO. Not being in the inner circle at all the other schools I could be wrong. We will have to wait and see.

Yes HB we have underestimated Cooper and they have always played us tough to the point that a few plays have made the difference. I believe that Cooper may crack the top 5 some where in the season. Just not going to beat us this year. I've got a feeling about our season. We've got more than England and Morgan. With those two and the competency now being restored under center I think we will see a more diverse offense this year.

While I agree with your assessment of the upcoming Ryle class of athletes being Seniors....I have to state what many believe...as do I, that just because you were good as a group at a younger age, it doesn't always translate into Senior success. Beechwoods upcoming Senior class were undefeated as Freshman playing all the big schools....defeating Ryle in the "championship game". Most all of those Freshman have had plenty of varsity experience since then which has resulted in NO state championships....they have been close, but they have not gotten it done...with a hand full of them being starters. They will have to rely on underclassmen to fill some voids and play valuable minutes....My point is that it is not a "given". You are however accurate about this class being full of good athletes at Ryle.

Beechwoods win over Cov Cath was a big win.....it is a rivalry game that Beechwood has not faired well in over the past several years. Injuries were factors on both sides. Anytime you are able to win on the road against a rival...its a good win.

Not at all. With Highlands having a brand new starter at qb the Birds will get much better as the year goes on. Highlands could struggle that game and still end up winning State. How someone looks at the beginning of the year really means nothing..

It does mean something because Cooper is in the same boat and will be going to a first year QB for the 3rd straight year.
