January 11, 201511 yr When the whole story broke a couple of years ago, I mostly ignored it while the world was going wild about it. No matter what the news reported, I could never seem to have enough info on the matter to conclude anything for certain, or to take sides. I didn't know either party's true character and their history, nor could I discern the accuracy of what we were fed by the media. Of course since the verdict, GZ has had his share of brushes with the law, which at first glance might indicate that he's a loose cannon and perhaps got away with murder the first time around. I'll admit, I don't know of his past record previous to the Martin case, and if his whole body of work so to speak beforehand screamed of a dude with a serious problem. With what we've been hearing since, it would suggest that he is troubled, and it's hard not to lean towards thinking so. With that said, I also wonder if since the Martin case if his life has been full challenges because of the high profile nature of it all, and if certain problems within his interpersonal relationships have been magnified because of with woman in his life holding this wide exposure over his head, and rush to use it against him for their own benefit when things are going sour. Most people when dealing with relationship issues don't have within their bag of tricks the options to paint someone as a bad person to the masses as a very high percentage of interpersonal problems don't get anywhere near the exposure that he undoubtedly has and will. He doesn't seem to be some sort of angel by any stretch, but has everything that he's encountered since his exposure been blown out of proportion or not? Many people have anger management and stress issues, but can at times manage to avoid wide spread attention regarding it, and can do their best to try to avoid confrontation if introspective enough to learn to how to adapt. Some of course might need further help in that regard. Since he seems to keep running into problems, it might suggest that he truly does have big issues, or just because of his now high profile nature, his problems are being exasperated and magnified, and he is now regularly confronted with numerous people within society who have decided that he is a bad person, and go out of their way to make his life a living hell. Or perhaps the guy is dumber than dirt and deserves everything that is coming his way. One way or another, although it's not looking good in his favor, I still am at a disadvantage, as many of us probably are, in knowing exactly what the real truth in all of this is.
January 11, 201511 yr I'm saying the evidence was not presented at trial. How can one say he is guilty of that due to his recent stupidity? It is a logical inference but not provable. Unlike the OJ trial, which had DNA evidence in a murder trial, OJ was claiming innocence. Zimmerman didn't claim innocence, he claimed self defense. The prosecution team in the Zimmerman trial didn't have enough evidence to sway the jury. That doesn't mean he isn't a low life. Let's be honest, OJ got a walk for a couple of reasons: his celebrity and his race. Jury nullification at it's finest. Exactly, because it has always been such an advantage to be a black man in the U.S. judicial process, right?
January 11, 201511 yr Exactly, because it has always been such an advantage to be a black man in the U.S. judicial process, right? So you are saying a black celebrity, with 9 black jurors on the jury, in the shadow of the Rodney King fiasco, was not jury nullification? Please. If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you. DNA doesn't lie.
January 11, 201511 yr :lol2: The same jury nullification that helped Zimmerman win his case. The same inept prosecution that helped Zimmerman win his case. But you think OJ is guilty and got away with murder though, right? Where was the jury nullification in Zimmerman's case? The prosecution sure didn't present a strong case. Yes, OJ got away with murder. DNA doesn't lie. One in 57 billion it could have been someone besides OJ.
January 12, 201511 yr OJ guilt > GZ guilt. Not even close. Trayvon had a hand in escalating that situation (not overly covered by the media as it helped GZ's case). Nicole and Ron were not in an altercation with OJ; they were victims of jealousy. Would not surprise me if in a parallel universe both OJ and GZ were found guilty. Then I would still think that the system got one of the two verdicts wrong.
January 12, 201511 yr Could it be he cracked due to all the pressure and fall out from the trial and the media hanging he took.
January 12, 201511 yr Could it be he cracked due to all the pressure and fall out from the trial and the media hanging he took. This man was cracked before the trial.
January 12, 201511 yr Where was the jury nullification in Zimmerman's case? The prosecution sure didn't present a strong case. Yes, OJ got away with murder. DNA doesn't lie. One in 57 billion it could have been someone besides OJ. "So, you're saying there is a chance?" :lol2:
January 12, 201511 yr I couldnt get the link to load -- what did he actually do ? until I see what happened here I wouldnt change my mind on what happened with the young man last year . If someone is beating your head against concrete or the ground and I can shot him -- I'm shooting him.
January 12, 201511 yr I was wondering how someone would justify not changing their mind about him. Well done. :thumb: Curious as to why you think someone should change their mind.
January 12, 201511 yr Curious as to why you think someone should change their mind. I think his behavior since the trial has shown what many said all along. The dude goes out of his way looking for conflict and trouble. I don't know how anyone at this point can have any doubt that Zimmerman was looking for trouble with Martin.
January 12, 201511 yr Let's be honest, OJ got a walk for a couple of reasons: his celebrity and his race. Jury nullification at it's finest. So OJ got off because he's a black guy that killed a white woman?? False. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:
