January 9, 201511 yr I hope in 5 years, Stoops has UK playing at a level where the Shawn Alexanders and Damien Harris's will more often than not stay in KY. I don't think UK will have to be at a level of say a top national team but at a level where they are pretty much assumed of going to a bowl each year, the question instead is how good of a bowl and when UK gets ranked, it is not longer a shock. A level that would put them maybe a little above South Carolina but not quite a UGA if that makes sense.
January 9, 201511 yr I thought everyone on here said he was going to UK? Come on man they got the sport wrong it happens...
January 9, 201511 yr Author He played UK like a grand piano......hope he enjoyed the free basketball tickets the past two years. Shameful too considering he is the first recruit ever to enjoy all of the perks of being recruited. Shame on him. #sarcasm
January 9, 201511 yr I think the fact that UK was in the conversation says a lot about where Stoops is with the program. Harris staying at UK would've been like Cousins picking Alabama basketball over UK a few years back. Cousins and Bledsoe made that choice over Bama in basketball. You'll also remember that Trevor Lacey went the Bama bball and that didn't work out, but now seems to be doing fine at NC State. Can't blame a top notch bball player for choosing UK and a top notch football player for choosing Bama.
January 10, 201511 yr I hope I'm wrong but I think he will be the leading rusher at Eastern Kentucky U. in 2018.
January 10, 201511 yr What has been sick is to read all the hateful post the kid has gotten through social media. Some people hoping he has an injury. This type of crap can't help recruiting.
January 10, 201511 yr Just as some of you expect the kid the play the recruiting game expect the backlash. Movie stars and reality stars throw themselves in front of the camera for fame but cry poor me when the paparazzi won't leave them alone. You lead a fanbase on as MUCH as he did and you got to know you're going to catch grief. So I don't feel sorry for him there. I hope he has 10,000 yards against Tennessee, LSU, and anytime they play Ohio State but other than that I won't be watching. As a UK fan that's as gracious as I can be. On another note the flagship of our conference needs to start winning bowl games. 2 straight years with flops.

I've seen very little of that actually. People like that are nuts though. Sometimes it's just trolls too. Best of luck to the kid. I'm a fan.

The fact is that the kid NEVER had any intention of going to UK, IMO. As close as he was to Lexington he didnt even "grow up" as a UK fan. He did very much enjoy the perks and being seen at the UK basketball games. Additionally his remarks about not getting Mr. Football were not very gracious or endearing. Do I wish him any bad luck, certainly not but he was never a Wildcat, just soaked up all the attention.

January 10, 201511 yr he will have plenty of competition at his position at alabama. He may make it there and he may be left in the dust. Hope he does well but the odds are not as good there as other places.

January 10, 201511 yr Hope he does well. He made the best decision for him, so I don't get how people can be mad. He chose Bama over UK, that is great exposure for the program. I'll applaud him for his decision because he's obviously not afraid of competition. Bama always has a good set of backs and if he becomes the man there the they sky will be the limit. Any UK fan that doesn't at least understand this decision is being ridiculously hypocritical. Cal gets kids away from in state teams that are much more prestigious in basketball than UK football is.
