November 4, 201411 yr I argued with my friend about this for a day. The bottle of Pappy Van Winkle he picked up this morning proved me wrong. I voted first, then went to get Pappy. #Priorities
November 4, 201411 yr Yeah, been a long time since I have felt like that. It's definitely hard to articulate but you know it when you see it or go through it. Very disappointing. I haven't told my wife because she gets more upset about things like this than I do. I don't blame her. If I had been there to witness, those ladies would not have enjoyed the show. People need to be called out for actions such as this.
November 4, 201411 yr No line, no waiting for me at 3:00 pm. I took the Lil Dawgs with me and walked them through the entire process: I took, them back to the booth with me and let them watch me vote and ask questions. After we all got stickers (without asking), we discussed that when they become voting age that I'll help them find candidate's stance on issues, and answer any question they have. I was proud to be able to share such an important experience with them.
November 4, 201411 yr I'm getting ready to head that way. I'll report back soon and will try to sneak some controversial footage out of the polling place.
November 4, 201411 yr Wife and I voted this afternoon. No one ahead of us in line. Stepped right up, signed the register; didn't have to show ID. Entire process took all of 2 or 3 minutes.
November 4, 201411 yr Just voted after work at Burlington Elementary School. I usually get up early and line up so I'm there when the doors open. Too tired today. I'm glad I waited. No line at 4:00. Walked right in, showed ID and got my paper ballot and pen. Easy peasy. In and out in less than 10 minutes. I think I'm going to stick with the after work voting. I voted for Libs when I could, then a couple R's and a couple D's. No issues on the ballot this year.

I was proud to be able to share such an important experience with them. My parents always used to take me voting with them when I was a kid. I think that can be pretty formative: the idea that it's just something you do, no matter what.
November 4, 201411 yr Just got home after hitting the polling place. Pretty hilarious experience. It was at Knights Hall at Bellarmine in the front lobby. I'm about halfway down the first column when I start noticing people yelling at each other and endless dribbling; it's time for the team to start practice. After I was about halfway through the back page (I think there must have been 40 races for judgeships in Jefferson County), head coach Scotty Davenport peeks his head around a corner, looks right at the poll worker sitting next to the ballot counter machine and says "Hey, can you guys hold it down up here?" and laughs. He then apologized for the noise and left. Poll worker looked around and said "Good job, everybody, now the coach is mad at us."
November 4, 201411 yr Voted just before 5pm. No line. Took my son with me and had a great time showing him the process.
November 4, 201411 yr No line at all when I went around 2:30 today. Had I been thinking about it, I would've went this morning at 6 on my way home from work so I could have got more sleep today. Over all my experience was just fine.
November 4, 201411 yr Just got done. Probably 50-75 people there at the time, took me about 20 minutes total.
November 4, 201411 yr I voted this morning around 11:15 at River Ridge Elementary in Villa Hills. Walked right up to the table that was designated for my address, handed them my idea, waited about 5 minutes while the guy tried to figure out how the alphabet worker and where my name was. Once he found it I signed the book and was handed my ballot. Took about 7 or 8 minutes to fill in all the boxes before I walked to the machine and inserted my ballot. Turned around to leave when a guy tapped me on the shoulder to give me my ballot. Overall things went smoothly.
November 4, 201411 yr Off topic (but still relevant) question: What is the best place to follow results in everyone's opinion? Typically I just wait until late night or the next morning to check various tv stations or websites to get the result but I'm wanting to follow a races closely this year and would like to find the most up to date/current results.
