Harry have you made a list on how the jobs came open? I'm curious on who resigned or fired versus getting a job elsewhere or something similar. I would but I haven't kept a close eye on all the coaching changes.

The only ones to my knowledge that were actual firings (even though some were given the choice to resign, but let's call it what it is) are these:

-Barren

-Green

-LaRue

-Warren Central

-Seneca (coach was told he would have to reapply for the job, people can take that how they want it)

-Daviess County

-CovCath

-Sheldon Clark (Hager was fired with a week or two before the season, then got his job back. Later "resigned")

-Hancock

-Lynn Camp (similar situation as Sheldon Clark)

-Perry Central (coach "resigned" after being charged with a P.I..not a DUI...but, Public Intoxication. Sad deal that he resigned, but I sure hope it was on his terms. DUI? I could undersand P.I? Hoping it was purely his decision. Talk about a crime that could happen to anybody at any time out with friends and run into a cop having a bad day. Sheesh)

The only ones open due to playing leap frog are:

-Woodford (Stoney left for Jtown)

-Southern (Crume to Marion)

-Boone Co (Griffiths to Barren)

-South Laurel (Jackson to Green)

- Owensboro*** (I put some stars/asterisks beside it bc, Yes, Coach Prince took a job in VA, but on the other hand, this was year 27 for him and eligible for full benefits retirement per the KTRS)

That's all I know of for sure (or pretty dang close to a stamp guarantee).

Why did the Head Coach at Eminence resign? I know its a small program, but it was only one year.

I'm pretty sure Carroll County was a force out...wasn't running a modern enough offense to showcase certain player's talents.

Hmmmm; Supe's son playing QB.

If players have talent coaches don't have to showcase them! You can see it!!!!!!

BINGO!

Hopkins Co. Central. The name I heard today is Shane Decker. From what I gathered he has been with Ed Smart at Grayson County for several years. Can't confirm as the school hasn't made a public announcement yet but have been told he's already down there doing off-season workouts. Still not hearing much out of the Madisonville-North Hopkins.

There are soo many things wrong with that and at the same time sums up the issues with coaching. I'm not sure I can say what I think about that withou setting off the word filter. I mean Carrol Cpunty shouldn't have any problem finding a coach running the Facemelter offense to showcase the talent. I'm sure people are beating down the door.

Any word out of Mercer County? Who are some candidates being considered?
