The finals last year was summit view and pius. Conner and pius was probably the two best teams last year. Pius beat Conner in the final four last year.

Alex Steczynski (Turkey Foot) has also played well when matched up versus Woodlands top players. Smart player, good shot and plays great defense.

What do you mean by get a shot at State? Anybody can sign their team up to play in the Middle School State Tournament.

Watched a BORING game last night.....2-3 ZONE defense by the losing team from the tip until the last 2 minutes of the game......still lost by double digits so my question is WHY a zone the entire game?? I asked for my money back but the AD laughed and said no way...........ZONE ZONE ZONE........

School board will not let them due to no oversight of KBA. Not a huge deal really, none of the girls NKY teams can be in it anyways because they have those state tournaments before their season even starts.

Anyway, Conner 7th beat Pius last night by 4. Conner up big most of game, Pius makes late run to cut it to 2. Don't know who the kid is (#1 I think for Conner), but made to NBN free throws to seal the deal. Kudos to that young man, short in stature, big in guts. Conner did good job bottling up Mayer. IMO, still 2 best teams at that grade level.

I disagree. Highlands went to Conner and won convincingly. Went to Pius and were whooped. I think that this just means that it is an open region and multiple teams have a very good chance to win.

Kenton co will never be as successful as they could be in sports because of their school board. They for the most part only hire teachers as coaches and don't allow any competitive sports until middle school. Plus they lock their gyms down unless their is a paying customer. They need Tim Hanner back he was out for the good of kids.

Not trying to bust your bubble, but Conner would smash Highlands if they played again. I believe the game you are referring to was just the 2nd game of the year. Conner has had their big improve significantly from that game... and Conner did not put the press on you either. Script definitely gets flipped if they play again.

School board usually will not give the required permission to play on Sunday as well.
