Florida State at home is so very hard to overcome. It would take a perfect game by ND to pull out a win. I just do not see Golson having a perfect game. If the game were at ND their chances for a win would go IMO from 2% to 40% but it is not so I think Florida St wins. And I'm not convinced FSU can play a complete game either but they have margin for error.

Better athletes? So you have analyzed both rosters and come to this conclusion? These ND teams BK is rolling out there are not the Weiss era teams everyone is used to. Just saying guys like Jaylon Smith, Will Fuller, Golson... The list goes on.

Yes. FSU consistently has top 5 recruiting classes (I think a #1 recently), ND is consistently 10-20. Everyone has a handful of athletes on offense now in college football. Take the depth chart of both teams, go 2 deep at every position, 44 players....NO ONE would take ND's over FSU.

The only reason ND is 5th is because the voters "have to" separate teams by record. There are several one-loss teams that should be ahead of them.

No thunder to be shaken down from the sky for the Irish......34-27 FSU........hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, never mind the six wins they have earned this year, and the eerily similar schedules. (Sagarin-- FSU- 45 ND- 51). All the statements you have made seem pretty subjective.

Your first statements are just not true. Since 2010, when BK was introduced as coach, and according to scout.com, ND has gone 19th, 8th, 16th, 5th, and 6th. FSU has been far from consistently "in the top 5". Going, 8-1-11-16 and most recently 3. Just highlighting the fact that the talent gap may be a bit closer than you may want to believe.

ESPN.com has the last 5 classes like this:

FSU 3-9-2-1-6 (consistently top 5)

ND 11-4-9-9-21 (sorry, should have said 9-21, not 10-20)

I don't know. FSU won a game with their backup quarterback playing the whole game and staring down his receiving target everytime he dropped back to pass. Talent won that game alone because he suuuucckkkks.

That and the fact that Clemson Clemsoned.

If Jameis makes it on the field FSU wins easily

If he doesn't its a toss up, slight edge to the Noles

Choose whichever site you want for recruiting info. But, by your definition of "consistent", ND is consistently top ten.

FSU - 27

ND - 23

I think that FSU wins due to them playing at home. I would not be shocked at all to see ND win. I don't think that FSU has the same team chemistry as last season.

Distractions finally get to FSU. ND by a FG.

SportsAuthority, will you tell me about some more games this weekend. I'm interested in A&M and Bama, Stanford and ASU. Tell me about their athletes too, I like when you do that.

Now for the ND/FSU game, this is going to be a very tough game for the Irish. Golson will have to play perfect but I think Jaylon Smith and the Defense step up to keep it close. Tough order to win at FSU. Would also have been nice if ND would have been able to return their #1 WR, starting CB and DE for this game too. For a team that doesn't have DEPTH and can't recruit, they've found a way to win their first 6 games without 5 impact players.

Before last weeks game, I would have said the Irish have a shot. After last weeks game, I say the Irish have NO shot.
