malachicrunch Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Kind of hard to follow in the update thread. What happened after the onside kick? Saw a post about gotta go for it on 4th. Did they make it?
newarkcatholicfan Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 I believe the better team won. Based on the little I know.
theguru Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 I am interested in knowing how Highlands was able to come back in the game. From the update thread and a little of listening online it sounded as if the Birds were being dominated by a superior football team but in the end they almost won. Anyone?
Jumper_Dad Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Great comeback by Highlands...just seemed to run out of time.

theguru Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 Guess who's STILL #1 in NKY? This game has/had no bearing on who is number one in NKY or 4A. Cut it out.
RCC9 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Glad we made a run. I know some aren't. Because now we have an indication of how good HHS really is. Even some of the SK fans were telling us how good this Fla team is. And HHS had a few mistakes and ran out of time and that's with Hoge nowhere close to 100%. This HHS team is good...we've been trying to tell you this. Have no idea what the coaches will vote, but there should be little doubt by anyone outside of Independence who is #1 in NKY. In the loss we did lose a starting running back (didn't play entire second half) as well as one of their best defensive lineman (entire second half) as well as a couple others. Hope they can get back soon.

Yes, it was like HHS recovers an onside kick, then it's 4th down and then the lights went out in Ft. Thomas. Updates from then on would be great
75center Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Liked the way the birds came out second half. I was really worried when Hoge came back out but I was wrong. Still don't understand the unforced errors in the first half but oh well, you can only hope they learn from it. Enjoyed seeing another FL team, hope we can continue to get these games.
