If Hoge has nagging injuries I sit him until further notice. Give him whatever it takes to fully heal for the playoffs, besides Hergot could use the experience.

Couldn't agree more with this.

You still babbling on about this? Lol

You need a hobby.

I don't know what you are talking about. My post had nothing to do with you. Did you see your name in my post? Got a complex?

I don't know what you do for a living, and really don't want to know. If I ever get thrown in jail again, I want you to be my lawyer. By the time the trial was over, you would have everything so twisted that the Judge, jury and everybody else in the courtroom would be serving life sentences, and I would be free as a bird. :lol2:

Today is a new day and it's time to move forward. Have a nice day!

Actually I did see my name. Scroll up and you will see HellBird in the quote.

That's what I was

Replying to. Maybe something screwed up

When you quoted a post but my name is there.

I was wondering how HHS running game was this year. Can someone fill me in?

Finally got to watch this game. That catch by Venneman in the 1st quarter was unreal.

That is the best QB that Highlands will see this year unless Ramsey's arm strength has improved a lot over last year. Kid was very decisive w/ his throws. Over the last 7 years or whatever that I've watched Highlands, the offenses that have given them the most trouble have gone primarily from under center. Usually though, those teams can't throw like CC's QB can throw.

CC looked like a very well coached team. I really liked how they showed a flowing action away w/ pulling guards and either boot away from it, or pass it into the middle. They also looked like their coaches crack the whip. On Hoge's pooch punt, there was a block in the back that was completely unnecessary as it was illegal. One of the coaches ran onto the field and got into his players face and chewed him out all the way to the sideline.

Watson/Urlage and Kendall.

Watson has speed but is a little undersized. Urlage has nice size and athleticism. Kendall is small but fast. I thought Kendall had a really nice game on Saturday running the football as well as returning kicks.

The CC QB was a stud. He threw lasers and was on target 90% of the time. How he threaded the needle on a couple passes was beyond me. I was really impressed with him.

This was a pleasure to read. The best part of this post is that you have seen these teams play and that is what your opinion is based on. Even if you had a negative opinion on the teams or games, your opinion would be very credible. I'll look forward to reading your posts and try to stay away from the posters that don't know, first hand, what they are talking about. BGP needs more posters like you. :thumb:

A buddy of mine who is real close to the team told me one of HHS's coaches told him that CC originally wanted to come to Cincy to play a GCL school but could not find matching open dates with any of them. I hope they can in the near future because it would be fun to watch them play an Elder, Mo or X. I looked up CC and they have 1,350 students (all boys) so they are definitely a big Catholic school - same demographics as the GCL.

The CC coach is an Indiana guy who wanted his kids to get a chance to (1) travel and (2) see Midwestern football. When he heard that University Christian backed out of the second year of the contract with HHS, he contacted HHS to see if they could work something out - and they did. I am glad too. It was a fun game to watch for sure.

HB, I would characterize the HHS running game as solid but not great. They have three decent RB's but none that take your breath away. Urlage runs very hard - not real fast but hits the hole hard. I like his attitude when he gets the ball. Kendall has more speed and is elusive but is smaller - I would actually like him to get more touches. Watson is decent IMO but not exceptionally fast or strong. Hoge as a runner is strong as well - but his foot injury is limiting this part of his game now - hope it does not linger for the rest of the year!
