C'mon Hellbird, now you are sort of embarrassing yourself. People are calling you out on goofy things you are saying and you are now resorting to ridiculous comments:

 

(1) Calling CC a "has been Florida team that will lose its first playoff game"...really? You just sound foolish saying this. They are 6-1, a top ten team in the largest division of arguably the best high school football state in the country and if you were at the game, you would agree they are as talented as ANY team in Kentucky or Ohio. They are well coached too. Their only loss is to Miami Central, a perennial national powerhouse. I have seen all the GCL teams play this year and Cleveland St. Eds and this team matches up very well with ALL of them. I actually think CC is better than all of them - their lines are similar but CC has better skilled position players for the most part IMO.

 

(2) Your comment about saying "everyone plays 2nd teamers" during the game is laughable. Of course they do! We all know that! Kids get winded, injured, etc. and someone else will spell them in every game. That is not what you and a couple of other posters who were obviously not at the game implied. You implied that CC pulled it starters (or a lot of them) because they were up so much they could coast to the win. When HHS fans called you and the other guy out, you now resort to the garbage in your last post about how everyone plays 2nd teamers sometimes. Again, you KNOW the difference. Just admit it, you and others that were not at the game got caught something incorrect...your defense of the incorrect comment just makes you look silly.

 

So you are saying I'm ridiculous but then you state I am 100% correct when it comes to playing backups. You may want to tell your buddy jail bird then lol.

Also Hellbird, I am not a blindly loyal HHS fan. I love the team but most on here (I hope) will agree I am pretty objective with my posts. CC was clearly better than HHS from a talent perspective. They simply had more good athletes. I am proud of the effort of HHS in the second half after a very sloppy second half.

The mistake you made is making comments about what I said especially inferring I talked about starters being pulled. That makes you look like your butt hurt because a team dares to play a backup here and there against the mighty Bluebirds. Lol

 

That ha been my entire point in this thread. Go back and read what I said, Jail Bird proved my point to a tee. You didn't help yourself much either with some of your comments. The thing is I didn't have to be there to know backups played. Same as for Highlands, they also played some backups which to my point is...who cares? Doesn't change a thing.

I'm not insecure at all. I knew I would have to deal with the football ignorant football fans like you that wasn't even at the game. What I'm trying to say give the kids at HHS some credit for playing hard and not giving up even while playing hurt. The 2nd team thing, in my opinion, takes away from the effort and heart they played with and is unfair to the HHS players.

Highlands was overwhelmed on the first drive then settled down nicely. The 7-7 first quarter score was pretty indicative of the tough football game this was. The Birds lost some emotion when Beau got his foot stepped on and went out. Losing Ulrich also didn't help; they were playing to keep it respectable in the latter stages of the 2nd quarter. When Hergott started the third I thought it was over but when Beau came back midway in the third the whole team seemed re energized. The killer was the kickoff return for a score; we really didn't recover. Great onside kick by Patrick Schoepf and a really great effort on the final kickoff; if the ball bounces back toward HHS instead of straight up Jared Pulsfort had a great shot of grabbing it around the 20. It was a loss; no moral victory. It was a great learning experience.

 

Very nice observation on how the game went. CC was impressive in size and speed and it was a fun game to watch. For 3 of the 4 quarters anyway.

Your right, I have taken my meds and I'm now back to normal. It is laughable what HB comes up with.

 

Not only is he(HB) an expert on KY football, he has the FL. playoffs decided and knows who the winners are in each class.

 

The only thing Hellbird does wrong is paint the fans of teams with a broad brush. He also must realize that I'm an individual and not Highlands fans. HB must also know that there is nothing wrong with my butt. I guess he has a thing for butts, I don't know. :lol2:

A loss by Highlands in no way alleviates any perceived or real heat on Wirth. Intentional or not, the thought that a Highlands loss to a big school FL team could, in any way, affect CCH's coaching situation is misguided and frankly, arrogant.
