He really likes it a lot. Classes are tough and he says he isn't used to multiple choice tests where you have to write short essay answers lol. He's doing good in classes so far. He has 2A 1 B and his toughest class he needs to bring his C up to at least a B. the football team tries to avg 3.2 GPA

 

He loves the team except their defense is really not good and he isn't used to that he says. He said every team he has ever played on the defense was always the best part. Takes some getting used to. He had a couple receptions yesterday and is 2nd of the recievers with receptions so far and has the highest yard per reception avg right now with just under 18 a catch.

I didn't make a big deal out of any of their losses including Friday nights against S Oldham. Hoge is a gamer no doubt! I'm thinking there is a different outcome yesterday if he doesn't go out for 4 or 5 full series.

I meant taking exception to a slight. We all do it although it does bother some more than others. The original poster was wrong and his intent was clear. It didn't bother me so I didn't respond but I don't have a problem with those who do respond.

Yes, you are right there. I thought you meant about 2nd string players playing against our teams.

 

My point is, who cares if a team played a couple back ups here and there, it doesn't make your team any worse or better than they already are and won't make a bit of difference in the end.

Do you really think HHS takes any heat for this kind of a loss, or was this an attempt to jab Cov Cath fans?

You want to know the truth? I could of cared less about the game yesterday because I was at a more important game, my sons college game.

 

Funny thing is I didn't say anything about the game itself because I couldn't care less about it. What I did say is it is funny that whenever highlands loses there are people like you who get so freaking upset that youale it even more ridiculous for HHS fans with your butt hurt attitude.

 

Someone's mentions 2nd stringers playing against highlands and you get your panties in such a bunch you give the fanbase a bad name. Don't stop though lol. It's quite entertaining watching you act so high and

One last thing question though, what kind of insecure fan goes up to the opposing fans to ask if their team played any 2nd stringers? As if you thought the entire game, "I better make sure no 2nd stringers played against my Highlands team because BGP'ers will never let me hear the end of it lol.

Piece of advice, be more like 75center who knows its just a game and move on. There are more important things in life to be worried about than if a 2nd stringer beat your team.

 

I'm not insecure at all. I knew I would have to deal with the football ignorant football fans like you that wasn't even at the game. What I'm trying to say give the kids at HHS some credit for playing hard and not giving up even while playing hurt. The 2nd team thing, in my opinion, takes away from the effort and heart they played with and is unfair to the HHS players.

Highlands was overwhelmed on the first drive then settled down nicely. The 7-7 first quarter score was pretty indicative of the tough football game this was. The Birds lost some emotion when Beau got his foot stepped on and went out. Losing Ulrich also didn't help; they were playing to keep it respectable in the latter stages of the 2nd quarter. When Hergott started the third I thought it was over but when Beau came back midway in the third the whole team seemed re energized. The killer was the kickoff return for a score; we really didn't recover. Great onside kick by Patrick Schoepf and a really great effort on the final kickoff; if the ball bounces back toward HHS instead of straight up Jared Pulsfort had a great shot of grabbing it around the 20. It was a loss; no moral victory. It was a great learning experience.

99.5% of all kids on every team p,ays hard the entire game, what the kids on Highlands team did isnt anything every kid who plays does every game. You continuing to call out fans and name calling like a 2 year old continues to prove my point.

You think the very same 11 offensive players that walked onto the field for the very first offensive play for the Florida team was the exact same 11 players that played every single offensive snap yesterday? I would tell you that you are 100% wrong. I wasn't at the game but I garuntee you that probably even in the first possesion a non starter came on the field and played. If you don't k ow it yet, even if you start out in a 2 back formation and then later go to trips, that extra WR that came in isn't a starter which by definition makes him a backup....ooops, what happened there? C'mon Hellbird, now you are sort of embarrassing yourself. People are calling you out on goofy things you are saying and you are now resorting to ridiculous comments:

 

(1) Calling CC a "has been Florida team that will lose its first playoff game"...really? You just sound foolish saying this. They are 6-1, a top ten team in the largest division of arguably the best high school football state in the country and if you were at the game, you would agree they are as talented as ANY team in Kentucky or Ohio. They are well coached too. Their only loss is to Miami Central, a perennial national powerhouse. I have seen all the GCL teams play this year and Cleveland St. Eds and this team matches up very well with ALL of them. I actually think CC is better than all of them - their lines are similar but CC has better skilled position players for the most part IMO.

 

(2) Your comment about saying "everyone plays 2nd teamers" during the game is laughable. Of course they do! We all know that! Kids get winded, injured, etc. and someone else will spell them in every game. That is not what you and a couple of other posters who were obviously not at the game implied. You implied that CC pulled it starters (or a lot of them) because they were up so much they could coast to the win. When HHS fans called you and the other guy out, you now resort to the garbage in your last post about how everyone plays 2nd teamers sometimes. Again, you KNOW the difference. Just admit it, you and others that were not at the game got caught stating something that was totally incorrect...your defense of the incorrect comment just makes you look silly.
