The sad truth is that there are too many people and organizations who claim to fight racism who have no desire to have it go away. Quite a few people make handsome incomes "battling" racism.

I have said the same thing to two people that I know who are into helping out gay rights. I told them that a lot of people in some organizations supporting gay rights actually do not want to have gay marriage and all that stuff, as they will be out of a job!

If this is true why isn't this being communicated to the citizens of Ferguson and if it has been communicated then why are the protest continuing?

I just heard the same thing.

 

The reason there are still protests coming is because protest brings money and publicity to those protesting. If they can't have a protest then how are the Al Sharpton's of the world to survive and have thier "Churches" survive.

Let's be clear, the protests going on during the day are the residents of Ferguson; the looting going on at night are mostly non-residents who don't give a crap about a dead boy.

Some of the protests during the day have also been led by the New Black Panthers Party, Al Sharpton, and other outsiders. The best thing that can be said about those daytime rallies and protests is that they have been peaceful.

 

I agree that most of the protests held during the day are attended by locals, but the external agitators are not keeping a low profile during the daylight hours.

You are so right. It seems whenever someone states their opinion on social media and get a couple people to agree with them no matter if they are right or wrong, they just become louder and it seems to spread. It happens with politics and this subject.

 

Now I don't know if "Racism" is getting worse, but I do think the subject itself has become too easy to label people or individual incidents with the racism label whether it is actually racism that led to the incident or if labeling it that gives the person or organization publicity to carry out their personal agenda. No matter what it is, you are 110% correct that when someone makes a statement about their opinion on the subject on social media all you need is 1 person to agree to give them more ammunition to keep bringing it up etc.

 

Racism is getting worse, and its not just a white issue or a black issue it comes from both sides and in many times leaders of each race.

There is no "news" in peaceful protests and due process of the justice system. Media exposure fans the flames as much as anything else. Why don't sports shows show the occasional streaker running on the field. Because common sense told them at some point that this just incents more of the same. I theorize the looting and violence, when blown up on TV 500 times over, just begats more looting and violence.

For instance you won't convince me that if Michael Brown was white and teh same size etc. and did the same thing that he still wouldn't be laying in a morgue today.

 

The looting etc. is being done by those who are hiding behind the race argument to justify their actions and we all know that has nothing to do with racism.
