I will tell you one reason it hasn't gotten better is due to the President.

His screw up with the Boston Cop during his first term and his screw up with the Trayvon Martin case did nothing to help race relations in the country, instead it gave both sides more ammunition to use.

 

This time around he is saying the right things in his press conference he had yesterday, I think he has learned that jumping to conclusions and being found wrong that it doesn't shine a good light on you.

 

 

And this is another example of why I think race relations won't get any better. If I or Obama can't tell the world how I see things through my eyes as a black man without getting blamed for adding fuel to the fire of race relations then the quagmire will continue. That's my frustration with this Michael Brown story. I watch blacks and whites take shots at each other all day long. I have co-workers fighting with each other on Facebook simply because how things are worded and which words are used. In the Boston cop situation Obama went back and made peace with the cop, apologized and all and that still isn't good enough? At some point people will say, what's the point then? And then things will be what they will be.

You're right, I'll unlike it. You would never leave a short half reply with a snide subtle attack on anyone's character. You're above all of that.

I agree and I also think the trust has gone down the drain with both.

 

Do you think it will be a violent not getting better or just a trust thing? And do you think its a demographic thing? More less the bigger cities

 

 

Trust. I don't expect a race war to break out. I just see us all as a people becoming more and more divided each day. Obama's run as POTUS has set the seeds for that division. The debate and argument about his time as president will always be an intense debate and the lines in the sand are being drawn as we speak.

Your post was textbook "passive aggressive" even if you "accidentally" posted it...

I think that's a product of being able to run your mouth without accountability because you can do it in the obscurity of your phone or behind your laptop. I have to wonder if those people, if all assembled in person, would be so bold to say the things they do.

Nah, I just think people are stupid and in that situation there would be a lot of followers. Kind of like the people in Missouri being violent while others are protesting. One person throws a bottle at the cops and next thing you know more people are throwing bottles. One person throws a brick in a store window and next thing you 20 people bum rush the store and leave with new shoes.
