Forehead can be subjective where it starts and stops. The story that I read regarding the autopsy only shows a wound to the eye area and one to the top of the head. I don't think anyone's idea of the forehead extends to the top of the head.
August 18, 201412 yr We are throwing out theories but as I understand it, the Chief of Police has already said that Officer Wilson claims that Brown assaulted him. We both know that strong-arming a store clerk 16 minutes earlier will be an issue if the case goes to court. While we are speculating, what are the chances that a young man not high on drugs or alcohol would be drawing attention to himself minutes after robbing a store by walking in the middle of the street instead of the sidewalk? BTW, you ignored my point about the primary witness to the shooting having been at the scene of a robbery with Brown 16 minutes earlier. If this case goes to trial, the store robbery will be an issue. You can mark that down. I didn't ignore it. It didn't have anything to do with the point I made. We agree.

No one is going to shoot someone in the eye then say they shot them in the forehead. I don't think anyone's idea of the forehead extends to the eyeball.
August 18, 201412 yr Put yourself in the shoes of many in the Ferguson community. In their mind, right or wrong, they think there is a "black problem" with the force. They can't get any info released. The only info that IS released is a video that is harmful to the victim yet unrelated to the shooting. They now leak that the kid used weed. As hard as it might be for one to walk in another's shoes can't you POSSIBLY see where the community simply doesn't trust that the police have their best interest at heart? Unless more facts come out that the black community of Ferguson have been wrongfully dealt with by the police then I can't agree with you on that at all. It does the community no good at all when the witness who came out and stated that Mike Brown had his hands up and shot in the back ended up going against what is now coming out that happened. If a group wants to make a point and think they are wronged, coming out with a fabricated story does nothing to further your cause.
August 18, 201412 yr Man charged with shooting 2 CMPD officers, 10-year-old girl This happened in NC last night. The shooter was an African American and both cops were white. Not sure the race of the little girl but what does it matter? My point is, this should Be more news worthy than Ferguson but the NCC shooting doesn't fit the media's goal of making an incident into a race issue.

The only question I have is they state that Ferguson is prominatley black, and looking at the numbers it only makes sense that more blacks are pulled over, and correct me if I'm wrong but although there were more blacks stopped (which only makes sense since there are more blacks in the city). What I would like to know is the % of whites vs blacks in the city population.

August 18, 201412 yr I hate seeing articles about "disproportionately white" police forces. Fact of the matter is, not many black people want to be the police for whatever reason. I'd be more interested to see the % of black applicants that have been hired. I hypothesize that the % of black applicants hired is disproportionately higher than % of white applicants hired. Most, if not all agencies would love to have a more diverse police force that more accurately represents their population but the sad truth is, not many people want to do the job.

There's historically only a 12% voter turn out in elections. I don't profess to know all, but I do wonder whether blacks are running for seats and not getting elected and secondly, why the voter turn out is so low.

I'm not really concerned about that aspect of it, as Rocket pointed out, you can only hire the people that apply and we don't know how many qualified applicants from African Americans the department got. I was more concerned with the % of the population in context with the number of traffic stops from black and white.

August 18, 201412 yr Not sure if relevant but how fast did he shoot the gun? Did he unload all at once or shoot and pause or what. If I'm a cop and some mad 6'4 300lb+ black guy is charging me with bad intent I may do the same thing, especially if he is trying to get my gun.
