August 18, 201412 yr Is it true that the attorney's for Mike Browns family hired Dr Baden? If anyone is familiar with this joke, he makes his living off of testifying in court ref pathology etc. He's a joke.
August 18, 201412 yr Author They can try this whole case with grandstanding and get the community even more in a tizzy. When the facts are tried, and the proof stands on it's own, if the outcome is opposed to local public opinion, they'll have to call in the national guard. The attorney for the Browns did the community no service by offering his opinion on the forensics in my opinion. I agree.
August 18, 201412 yr There are so many scenarios it's tough to tell if it was excessive or not. Like everything else in this case I'm going to wait to pass judgement. Did he aim for the arm to slow him from charging him (If he was indeed charging him)? If so, why didn't he shoot him in the leg since he knew he wasn't armed? After a few shots to his arm and he was still charging him (presumably) did he then shoot for his head? Did he fire off two quick shots to the head, one that brought him down and the quick second one that got the top of his head? Or, did he shoot execution style after he was slumped over? Or, did he just suck and miss center mass repeatedly and hit his arms? Makes you wonder if so because he pulled off two head shots. Just a lot to ponder. In all seriousness, if he's right handed, it's probably due to a weak support hand grip.
August 18, 201412 yr Author I don't know much, but I do know for certain that you couldn't pay me enough to be a police officer. You are darned if you do and darned if you don't. I'd have to think twice about defending myself against someone of a different race or someone who could possibly be a young adult because it wouldn't matter what circumstances led to the result, all that would be seen is that I hurt or killed a young person who may have just made bad decisions and not respected authority but didn't deserve to die for it and I should have thought about it before shooting. (Because there's so much time to consider that in the 45 seconds something like this takes place) And of course, they're almost always "great kids who never hurt anybody and were just getting ready to go to college." After they rob a store or drive drunk or assault someone...the next stop was math class. I think that this will end up going to trial, but a large part of it will be due to public pressure and political pressure and not as much about what evidence points to actually occurred. Unless evidence clearly says the officer executed the young man after he had stopped and put his hands up in the air, I don't see how a jury could come to a conclusion on what occurred without reasonable doubt about the alternative. I guess will be interesting to see once more comes to light. Same here. Not enough money in the world. Plus I wouldn't last long because I'd get in trouble for use of excessive force with my taser gun. I'd be tasing people left and right. Running that mouth? Tased. Driving in the left lane without passing? Tased. No seatbelt? Tased. Broken taillight? Tased. Ask for my badge number? Tased. Yeah, I'd be a problem.
August 18, 201412 yr The Ferguson/SLC departments released the video of Brown's robbery, which they admitted was unrelated to the shooting, in a move that seemed to have no other purpose but to sully Brown. They've now "leaked" that Brown had marijuana in his system. They've been mum about any other evidence. I make two conjectures: 1) If they have evidence that would justify the shooting I suspect that they would have released it, one way or another, by now. I don't mean that to say they have evidence that would indict officer Wilson, though that's possible, but that I don't believe they have evidence to justify him or it would be public. 2) I'm not sure how much faith I would put into them investigating the shooting on their own.

Those are great points as well. The timing of their decisions has been sketchy as well. I believe I heard or read something stating that Darren WIlson didn't fill out an incident report on the shooting. Is that true also? Don't all officers have to turn in an incident report on everything they do, let alone shooting a civilian? Is that true?

You're probably right. I have heard a recording though where a female said the officer did get a description of the two guys that robbed that store while all this was going on, but that isn't why he first started talking to them. Also it was asked today of both of the scientists if his blood tests came back with alcohol or drugs in in his system and they said multiple times I believe that they weren't privy to that info. One of them even said it will probably be out really soon b/c the President was interested in the case.
August 18, 201412 yr A teenager that stole cigars had weed in his system? Never would have guessed... :lol2:

My take on the release of the video. Personally I don't care if the officer knew or not that Mike Brown just commited a strong arm robbery. I would have released the video anyway after the public outrcry and media making him out to be some kind of saint and the video clearly shows that he wasn't. The ones crying that they shouldn't have released the video tape are only crying because it puts a damper on what they were trying to do and publicly crucify the police officer as a racist and killing an innocent kid. The second thing I really don't agree with is you saying you don't believe they have any evidence that would justify the shooting. What kind of evidence are you talking about? If it's video, that would have been released long ago if it was one of the bystanders who witnessed it. I don't think there is any video of the incident itself therefor you haven't heard of any. I don't think it has anything to do with whether or not it was a justified shooting.
August 18, 201412 yr That mental pic has me rolling:clap: I can see PP92 now sitting at a BG football game on homecoming and a rival fan from their opponents that night sitting near him shouting profantities at the BG bench etc. and PP92 without saying a word, simply takes out his taser and tases the guy on the spot to shut him up, then as if nothing happened turns back to the game.

Has St. Louis County Police released anything? I'm not aware if they have. Their investigation into the shooting is still an open investigation. It's not uncommon for police departments to not release information on an open investigation. The Ferguson Police Department investigated the robbery, as evidenced by the report that was released. The robbery was exceptionally cleared, because they're only suspect was killed in the shooting. Because of that, that investigation is no longer open meaning that information can be requested by media and released by the police. St. Louis County had no control over whether that was released or not because it was not their investigation.
