July 28, 201412 yr Good call on Ky Bourbon bourbon ale being nasty out of the bottle but pretty dang good on tap . True . I had my first experience with it out of the bottle. And I ended up throwing most of the beer away. And I refused to drink it until a friend of mine bought me the draught version and talked me into giving it a chance. Completely different. I still can't figure out how the draught version is so good and the bottle version can be so terrible.
July 28, 201412 yr I drink Corona Light and love it. It doesn't taste skunky to me. I don't mind Corona, but I do get a hint of skunkiness, especially when I drink other types of beer before it. I don't think Corona is worth the price.
July 28, 201412 yr Author I like Yuengling; ones I tend to agree with Rolling Rock, Blue Moon, & Killians. PP92 Being I just got back from Jamaica a couple weeks back I might be able to stomach that Red Stripe. It was like drinking water. I was so disappointed.

July 28, 201412 yr I used to love Colt 45 with Canadian Mist chaser. That's when my stomach was made of iron. I've always enjoyed Killian's. Actually, my favorite is anything that my son springs for at the ballpark, rink, court or field.

July 28, 201412 yr I'm going add that maybe people do go overboard on Yuengling... but it's far and away the best beer that price range of mass-produced American lagers. I think this is my issue with Yuengling... I can drink it, I had a six pack on my vacation as a matter of fact. But some will argue that it's the best beer ever brewed, and it's just not THAT good, IMO.
July 28, 201412 yr Shiner Bock isn't the best beer every by any stretch but it isn't bad either. I like how he then goes on to explain that he has never had any other beers made by Shiner. They make several types of beer most of which are pretty good. I would think that someone who is going to write an article telling me what kind of beers are overrated or not should have probably tried a lot of beer, at least more than me. Also I'm not really sure what makes these beers overrated. Outside of Yuengling, I don't really get a sense that any of these have a cult like following. And I agree with what others have said about Yuengling that while it is a really good beer it isn't anything too special but easily the best of the domestic lagers that can be purchsed for about $6.00 a six pack. Personally I think that their Octoberfest and Summer Wheat are better than the flagship lager. Blue Moon is another that I don't understand while it is considered overrated. I like Blue Moon and pretty much only drink it on draft when I go out to eat. I like that it is available most everywhere, I guess and it seems to go well with most any food that I order. But again, it's not like my friends are always talking up how good Blue Moon is or anything. I also really enjoy their Summer Honey Wheat. I've probably drank a couple six packs worth over the last month. Good beer on a hot day. At least the author didn't say anything bad about Sweetwater 420 Pale Ale. Those would have been fightning words. Too bad I cannot get it where I live.
