July 28, 201412 yr I think Bass is the only one that I'd disagree about. I STRONGLY agree with most of these (including Yuengling) on the basis of the author's ' "overrated" is not synonymous with "bad." ' premise. But I've never felt like Bass Ale was being touted as anything more than just a solid and very drinkable English Pale. I don't get where the OVERrating comes from on that one, because I've never known it to be bragged on all that much to begin with.
July 28, 201412 yr I agree with many of these, especially Blue Moon, Killians, and Moosehead. I remember in college, we thought Moosehead was the best beer in the world. Then after moving out here, and not having seen it in a while, when I finally drank one again after not having one for 15 years or so, I found it to be undrinkable. I think Heiniken is pretty awful too. I do disagree with Anchor Steam being on the list. As far as Kentucky Bourbon Barrel, out of the bottle it is truly awful, but on draught, it is completely different, and very good.

July 28, 201412 yr One of my favorite lies is that I don't judge people by what they drink, but the truth is I have a hard time respecting anyone I see holding this skunky pinkie ring of a beer.

July 28, 201412 yr Author I agree with him about Red Stripe. I bought a two 6 packs of it a few weeks ago. I have 10 of them left. Anyone want it? It's so awful.

July 28, 201412 yr I like Yuengling; ones I tend to agree with Rolling Rock, Blue Moon, & Killians. PP92 Being I just got back from Jamaica a couple weeks back I might be able to stomach that Red Stripe.

July 28, 201412 yr I will say he nailed it with Heineken. That has to be one of the worst popular beers ever. Not too many beers I can't choke down but that is definitely one I can't.

But you're right, it is much better than Bud/Miller/Coors. I would be happy if Yuengling was all I could ever drink. Of course the fact that you can't get it here in KY kinda makes getting and drinking it more special than it really is. I remember being excited about Coors when it was introduced to my home state, and that was all we drank for a few months. Then it got old, and we moved on. That being said, I don't think I'd tire of Yuengling, since I spent so many years living only a 1/2 hour from the Yuengling Brewery. There's definitely some nostalgia for me with Yuengling.
