No love for my man Jalen Perry of Ballard??

Him and Sutton have both quietly had pretty solid summers on the EYBL circuit.

Perry is a very good player but i just haven't seen him play in person enough to evaluate him and put him in my top 10. Not saying he isn't deserving bc from what little I have seen the kid can play

How can you leave Drew McDonald off the list of top 10? He helped the Travelers get to the Peach Jam. He's 2nd on the team in both points and rebounds. Team leading 50% 3ptfg as a post player. 2nd team all state last year as a junior. What more do you need from a kid to be considered top 10?
It was a toss up between Evan Hall and Mcdonald for me. I gave the nod to Hall bc I have yet to see Mcdonald play in person. Can't give a true assessment until I see a kid play in person. From what I've been told the kid is a heck of a player and he has had a solid spring with the Travelers

Having seen both multiple times I can say it is easy to be captivated by Hall's athleticism but IMO McDonald is a better overall basketball player.

I saw both Hall and McDonald play at the "All A State" last year and at LexCath again this year. I like Hall and think he's a nice player. However McDonald is as solid as they come in terms of fundamentals and making his team "go". He scores, rebounds, posts, shoots, passes, breaks the press etc.

I would definitely place McDonald on the top 10 list. Not sure he isn't even a top 5-6. I'm also not sure Hall doesn't deserve to be on the list as well. Perhaps in place of one of the guards.

Many may not consider top 10 but DJ Jenkins of Harrison County is an excellent player has recently drawn interest from Dayton.

Good stuff.

Anything else on him you can share? Breakdown of his game, other schools involved, highlight tape?

Outside of Ray Spalding, I dont know if there's another "big" in the state that I'd take over Mcdonald.

Kid can beat you both inside and out.Honestly, I think the debate should be whether he is top 5...not top 10.

Good stuff.

Saw him play last year and he was the player from their team that impressed me the most. Quick guard, that plays both ends of the court and every play. Not flashy, but does the extra things that don't show up in the stats. That is what impressed me the most of his game.

What about Eli Wright at Apollo?

While not a household name, Colin Hathorn from Cooper will be one the players that if not in the Top 10 will be pretty darn close. One of the toughest and nastiest big men in not only NKY but in this year's State class. Very strong, excellent low post game, runs the floor, shot blocker both in the paint as well as running players down from behind, will bang with anyone and will try and dunk on anyone in his way. A 4 year varsity player as well. Again, probably not in anyone's Top 10 today but when the dust settles he could be right there.

Good stuff.

He is at his best in the open floor & it's difficult to keep him from the rim. Perimeter game needs to improve for the next level IMO, but I expect to see significant improvement from a really good junior year.

Saw Jenkins play last year. Idk if he's top 10 but I'm definitely a fan of his game. Reminds me of a bigger Dre Jackson.

I think Noah Robinson from SK is a top 10. He will be a 4 year varsity player and can play any position mostly point guard at 6'4.

:ohbrother: I know us SK guys have to stick together but you're on your own with this statement. He may be a top 10 district guy. Once again, I'd expect him to be the third/fourth option on offense, same as last year and the year before. To make this list, you have to be a get your own scorer and that's not Noah.

No intention to bash Noah at all, he's a good ball player. Just not on the same level as some on this list.

Good high school player but I'm not sure he's top 10 in that region.
