March 17, 201412 yr Not a chance I would have guessed UK, not a chance. I'd have given Wichita St. a shot I guess. Really good team, playing in a really bad conference. Gotta look at the conference. Back in 91, UNLV's conference wasn't exactly murder's row either.

I would of guessed a mid major school would of been the one to go into the tourney undefeated. The comnpetition throughout the year on their schedule just isn't that of a top DI school. Going undefeated is a huge accomplishment, but it is possible for a mid major to have really good talent and the schedule they play to come out without a loss a lot easier in my opinion than a top school can only because of the caliber of competition.
March 17, 201412 yr I will say this for Wichita State. For the most part they have rolled through the entire regular season slate. They had 1 or 2 games in conference where games were in jeopardy. Not as if they were hanging on for dear life every other game. Murray State came close a two seasons ago, but they had many close calls before losing.
